Basically is it worth it?

I'm considering buying one now my kids our out of the nappy bag stage but still need a large day bag sometimes - I like the idea of a bag I can just use when I need to carry quite a few bits but that also looks lovely. I've seen quite a few women at the gym with them and am considering a purchase.

I have a small Gucci marmont in black which I use most days - but I end up with a canvas tote or scruffy gym bag a lot! Which I don't love.

I'm weighing up getting a monogrammed one but is it a bit tragic? I do love it!

I have the Damier Azur print in MM and it’s my summer bag.
On Saturday I purchased the Neonoe in the monogram with black leather as my winter bag.
I also managed to order the Monogram with the pivoine lining for my friend online. She tried to purchase but it timed out before she got to put all her details in. If you do want to get one online, set up an account with your payment details so you can check out really quickly, also add it to your wish list :)
We traveled to London and was able to click and collect hers and after some perseverance I managed to get mine 😊

The Azur print is lovely for summer. Tempted - we’ll see for next year! Saw a shopper with the croisette handbag in it the other day, which looked great. Another poster recently mentioned she has the Graceful, which she recommends too.

It would be much easier just to browse in store (or would it! ).

I had one a few years ago and the thin straps dug into my shoulder horribly. I sold it on eBay for a profit!

Congratulations @Bimblesalong - you can kick the crap out of that for 10 years and it won’t look any different. This is not something I can say about all my pricy bags!

I have the GM in Damier and I absolutely adore it 😍😍😍. Also use mine as a nappy bag 😂.

Op I'm having the same dilemma as you. I quite fancy the Damier Azure but obviously the Ebene is much more practical. I'd probably go for mm. I've seen gm in the flesh and it is huge although you can cinch it to make it smaller.

I’ve had mine for years and it still looks good.

I use the purse inset thing as an evening clutch when on holiday.

Thanks for the lovely comments. I did wonder if it might be too autumnal but it’s looked lovely today - I had light camel chinos and a white top and it went well.

I chose the darker shade as hopefully it’ll go into the autumn/ winter months.

How do they get on with rain?

I've had mine for 13 years....still going strong. I ordered mine directly from Louis Vuitton...it was much cheaper than it is now!

I love Louis Vuitton...I think they are absolutely beautiful. It's a shame there's so many fakes around

I have one MM I love love love it it fits everything in have not used any other bag since I got it and I got mine off EBay but I would love a brand new one - some day

Yes it's worth it. I have a few LV bags and must say that compared to Gucci they are much better quality and last much longer.
