What products have you tried and what difference did it actually make

I love 0 & 3. The others are fine but no better than cheaper products.

Hard sell from the hairdresser so true! Upselling . I went to an Aveda Salon missed having my highlights done for a long time so plenty of regrowth and been trimming it, no blowdrying whatsoever and eating healthy plenty of protein . Go to new Salon hairdresser firstly tells me if I avoided getting colour done then deserve sausage highlights er ??!? Lockdown couldn’t get colour done for love nor money hence a change of hairdresser. Anyways so sincere how’s your covid experience been? as small chat ? Then its lets launch into how thirsty and dry and needing a treatment your hair is. Stood my ground 3 times but caved in during the hair rinse.Paid £35 for Aveda’s version of Oplex treatment which was something slapped in a hot towel for 10 mins.In my head I was thinking I could do this at home surely ? Then got charged for glossing treatment another £35 on top as well which I wasn’t asked about bill came to £230 .No trim no blowdry . Washed hair 2 days later its actually drier than it was before. Like someone said its mainly on the inside hair health . My hair was like virgin hair half of it was uncoloured unprocessed or even blow dried and had been trimmed so to tell me my hair needed a miracle treatment is like a snake oil seller . Don’t believe the Hype and don’t cave in stand your ground

I use 3, usually weekly, but leave it in overnight or put it in & put on a swim cap & use the steam room at the gym. My hair feels smoother/softer afterwards but I’m not sure there are long term benefits.

I’ve found Christophe Robin products to be amazing. The prickly pear hair mask is super & the colour reviving masks are brilliant to freshen up colour between appointments. Look fantastic usually have offers & 3 for 2.

Thanks for this have seen Christophe Robin and will give it a try 👍

@TotoAnnihiliation I got 1 and 2 done at the salon about 6 months ago. Since then I've used 3 about once a fortnight (am still on my first bottle) and then the shampoo and conditioner.

When I use 3, I make sure not to go to the roots - I start it about 2 inches down, except for the baby frizz that tends to emerge around the top of my forehead –there I pile it on a bit more. I leave it on for 15 minutes or so and then wash it out.

I only wash my hair about once a week, and condition lightly every time I wet it so I can finger-comb it through and sort my curls. So again, both bottles are lasting ages.

I haven't tried any of the styling products because I just haven't really needed them –but at some point I might.

I have alopecia connected to an autoimmune syndrome, and it's changed my hair a lot. The hair at the back of my head and low down is strong and falls in chunky ringlets, but up top and at the sides it's fine, flyaway, and tends to frizz. The curl pattern was changing, too –it wasn't holding because the hair was becoming so fine and breakable.

Since using Olaplex the top is now looking and feeling more like the healthy stuff at the back.

It's honestly made such a difference I've had at least one little relieved cry –I may not get the hair back that I've lost, but what's left is so much better.

Hope that helps Smile

I don't use fancy hair products except for semi-permanent dyes (boring brown to cover grey) and haven't work makeup for decades - but I love Olaplex. My hair is fine and brittle and it has improved the texture so much that it is back down to my waist like it used to be when I was 20! My main motivation for starting was the desire to limit haircuts in Covid times and because I just generally loathe haircuts. It's mostly worked by helping wit split ends. I use 0 and 3.

I have 3 and even overnight it dies very little for my overprocessed hair. Goung to look up 0 now though.

I feel like it made a difference when my hair was damaged. The better condition my hair became, it made it greasy and limp. It was too heavy for my hair after a while. I still use number 6 as a leave it conditioner as it makes my hair so much easier to brush through when wet.

Thank you. I think I need to try leaving it on for longer!

Would 6 be any good as a leave in conditioner for on holiday?

Hepzibar · 25/07/2021 08:13

Yes I would use it and a little goes a long way

Blueink · 31/07/2021 20:07

Have used in salons and at home, dislike the heaviness and smell, massive over hype/price
