Help! How to get rid of natural tan

I'm super pale and usually never tan, I just go red then back to pasty white. Weirdly this year I'm finding I'm getting tanned and I hate it. I use SPF 50 religiously but I've managed to miss a few areas so now I have tan lines. I'm desperate to get rid of the tan lines, is there any way to help them fade quickly?

Oh shit, that's fake tan. Sorry.

Get a spray tan to "join the gaps"

Don't worry, I'm going Grin

I use a factor 50 all the time. Especially on my face, even when it's not very sunny. I think the mineral sun lotions are supposed to block the sun even more so they might be better if you don't already use one.

@Cluckycluck yes definitely- pregnancy causes super sun sensitivity and lots of reports of menopause and peri menopause causing the same.

My grandmother loved the sun she had a Mediterranean complexion so didn't need sunscreen really she never burnt just went darker.
She had what they thought was an ulcer on her foot unfortunately it was skin cancer they realised to late and it had spread. She died a few months later, still miss her and she's missed seeing so many great grandchildren.

The ozone layer is getting thinner and summers are getting hotter so we need to be careful, that doesn't mean wrapping in cotton wool just being sensible for some including me who inherited my granddad's pale freckles factor 50 is sensible the 50 means I get 50 times more time in the sun before I burn so on days like today I can be out for more than 5 minutes.

how much tanning are we actually talking about OP?

as its sounds like an extreme tan which is very odd for someone who describes themselves are fair skinned that goes red then fair again ?

@borntobequiet

Sunscreen is a good thing. This morning I put factor 30 on my face, neck and chest, factor 20 on my arms and 15 on my legs. That was because I was cutting hedges in full sunlight for 3 hours. If I sit out or lie in the sun I use a suitable SPF cream. In the summer I use a moisturiser with SPF 15 if it’s bright outside. However factor 50 all the time is mostly unnecessary - I suppose there could be circumstances where it’s needed, but I don’t know any. Using products containing SPF through the winter months, when you hardly ever go outdoors, is daft. Frightening and guilting women into believing that if they don’t wear sunscreen all the time, whether indoors our outdoors, whether it’s sunny or not, whether it’s day or night - as the beauty industry does - they will irredeemably damage their skin or get cancer, is reprehensible and a money making scam.
You also shouldn’t lie in the sun. Even I know that and I’m in my sixties! (Look younger though because of using high SPF and not sitting or lying in the sun Grin)
