If you could only wear one perfume for the rest of your life.....

What would it be?

For me, Jo Malone's lime, basil and mandarin. I smell it and it immediately takes me back to hot summer holidays in the Caribbean.....

However. If I started this thread in the winter I'd say chanel coco Grin

Which just demonstrates the impossibility of just choosing one perfume forever, doesn't it!
@TheRosesOfSuccess I've just discovered this site www.perfumista.co.uk that has lots of JL samples to buy. I haven't tried it yet but planning on ordering a few samples.
Thank you so much Smile

I love this thread.

I now wear all the Molecules range after buying their tester kits - I love them all.

But I mourn all the wonderful discontinued ones from the past :
Lancôme Magie Noir and Nina Ricci Farouche were favourites and most recently Bobbi from Bobbi Brown. I can’t believe it’s gone. Where are all these perfume recipes!

peppermintpat · 05/07/2021 21:41

Yohji (1996) by Yohji Yamamoto (discontinued). I have managed to find a few bottles on eBay and a few years ago walked into Boots and there were two bottles on the reduced shelf!

Roxy69 · 05/07/2021 22:42

First by van Cleef and Arpels. Heavenly.

grannysbay · 05/07/2021 23:10

@LemmysAceCard They have this in my local perfume shop if that helps

Slub · 05/07/2021 23:14

Marc Jacobs Daisy

grannyjacob · 05/07/2021 23:27

Winter - Calvin Klein’s Obsession.
Warmer months - any of the Escentric Molecule range.

wildeatheart · 05/07/2021 23:52

Christian Dior hypnotic poison

Onynx · 06/07/2021 00:02

The original Nina by Nina Ricci & Ralph Lauren Romance before they messed with the aldehydes 😢

Boxingmum · 06/07/2021 00:03

Coco chanel is my all time favourite

Onynx · 06/07/2021 00:13

For Autumn JM Dark Amber & Ginger Lily layered with Molecule 01 1 so many people have stopped me to ask what I'm wearing. Winter nights out =JM Pomegranate. I love EL Knowing but I've been told it smells too 'old'? My mum wears EL Youth Dew which I love but it will always be my Mum's fragrance. Coco Chanel is for snuggling up on Winter days. I also love Thierry Mugler Chyprissime but it costs a bomb.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/07/2021 00:18

Sunflowers (Elizabeth Arden)
Other ones I love though.

Exclamation.

Marc Jacobs Perfect 💖

FictionalCharacter · 06/07/2021 00:47

@YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie Noooooo! They can’t discontinue Stella! Sad

MagentaSloth · 06/07/2021 02:59

So difficult.

For summer maybe Les Belles de Ricci, if you're lucky enough to still own a bottle. Or maybe Coco Mademoiselle. Or La Vie est Belle. Aaargh - it's hard to pick one!

For winter probably Geurlian La Petit Robe Noir. Or Kyse Praline au Caramel.

MagentaSloth · 06/07/2021 03:02

And Tom Ford Soleil Blanc! Another summer must have that I can't go without.

I don't think I could survive with just one. Sorry OP - I have utterly failed to rise to your question. Grin

@HomeSliceKnowsBest

Lush Lust until I had to boycott Lush. Louboutin Bikini Questa Serra (costs a bomb, smells divine).
Why did you need to boycott it?
MagentaSloth · 06/07/2021 04:24

.

SmackMyAssnCallMeJudy · 06/07/2021 04:57

Mine would be the same regardless of season - Jardins de Bagatelle, Guerlain.

Although I always have several perfumes on the go, this has been my staple since 1995 when, aged 25, my then BF took me into a perfumerie and had the woman match it to me. It sounds completely pretentious, but I was swept off my feet by it, and have been wearing it ever since, even though the boyfriend is long, long gone.

SmackMyAssnCallMeJudy · 06/07/2021 04:58

Sorry - aged 21!

66babe · 06/07/2021 07:31

Sounds like a fair swap @SmackMyAssnCallMeJudy a lifetime of a perfect perfume ... man turned to dust .... no problem 😀

longcoffeebreak · 06/07/2021 08:04

Hermes 24 Faubourg it's really classy and unusual
