I am on a major money saving drive at the moment and need to get some new skin care, make up etc and would love some brilliant products for under £10. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

CeraVe cleanser (£15 but it's over 200ml)
The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA as a thicker moisturiser
ELF superhydrate for something lighter
Garnier face fluid SPF

I cant find a base product I love that's high street...the hunt continues
Collection lasting perfection concealer
Creme puff blush
Physicians formula marumuru butter bronzer (12.99 so slightly over)
Essence mascara
Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks
Nyx butter gloss
ELF lipslick

I used to spend oodles of money at Clarins, Estée Lauder etc., when I discovered La Roche Posay. I don’t think it’s under £10, but if you looking for a more sensible price range I would highly recommend it.

Also, Garner micellar water for make up removal works for me better than the ++++£ stuff does. I think it’s under £10.

ZaraW · 20/05/2021 16:04

NYX soft matte lip cream is a bargain just as good as my more expensive lipstick.

Betsy88 · 20/05/2021 16:06

Very slightly over your budget but if you like balm cleansers the M&S rose one is really good (easily compares to posher brands) and is £12 I think.

dirtyfries · 20/05/2021 16:12

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and the superdrug vitamin E skincare range. Only things that work for my dry skin and they happen to be cheap! (I've tried all sorts of £££ products)

FullOfSong · 20/05/2021 16:12

Maybelline Sky High mascara is amazing, I usually wait for an offer in Boots or Superdrug like 3 for 2 or BOGOF

Revolution 10% Niacinademide and 1% Zinc has helped my skin a lot

Garnier micellar water for removing eye makeup

Tresemme Heat Defence is the only heat protectant I will use, I've been using it since I was 13!

Revolution XX concealer is really good, good amount of coverage without being cakey

Also I agree with @FispiFispi - CeraVe cleanser is a really good cleanser that doesn't strip the skin. I also like CeraVe's moisturising lotion.

Aldi moisturisers (the caviar ones, the Q10 ones and the anti-aging ones in the red pots are all great). Aldi dupes for Liz Earle cleanse and polish. Rimmel BB Cream. Max Factor Miracle Veil face powder. Loreal Infallible blusher stick.

WellTidy · 20/05/2021 16:51

Garnier micellar water for sensitive skin (with the pink lid) is fantastic for removing make-up, including Benefit They’re Real mascara (which I love, but gets mixed reviews on here)

The mini They’re Real mascara is also £12.50 but 15% off first order on the Benefit site

You can get a travel size Urban Decay eye primer for £12, again my holy grail

Again, the travel size 30ml Shea butter hand cream from occitane is £8 and is fab, won loads of awards

Bananaman123 · 20/05/2021 18:48

Neutrogena water gel eye cream, cleanser and moisturiser
The ordinary niacinimide
No7 mascara normally on offer, better than high end I've tried
Primark lipsticks and pencils
Revolution concealer

18 but lasts forever, too cool for school pumpkin sleeping pack

MayflowerMaisie · 20/05/2021 19:07

After years of using high end mascara, I needed a waterproof one for a funeral so nipped into Sainsbury’s. Discovered Maybelline Lash Sensational it’s amazing!
Things that work every time are aveeno oatmeal body lotion - the one in the squeezy tube, and flexitol heel balm.

Jampot1 · 20/05/2021 19:14

Rimmel 60 second nail varnish
Vaseline rosy lips

Keepyourdistance000 · 20/05/2021 19:21

Essence Mascara - in fact most Essence make up is as good as, if not better, than expensive make up.

Aldi's Lacura Rosewater Micellar Water
Lacura Rosewater Toner

Superdrug Natural Radiance skincare.

Girlintheframe · 20/05/2021 19:26

Lanolips balm

Cerave hydrating wash

La Roche Posay cicaplast

All around £10 depending on size

WellTidy · 20/05/2021 19:27

I have tried masses of body creams for my lizard like dry skin. The best one by far for me - at any price point - is Garnier intensive 7 day body lotion with Shea butter. A fiver for 400ml.

TheVampiresWife · 20/05/2021 19:30

Essence Lash Princess mascara is about £3 and the best I've ever used. Knocks even my previous favourite Lancome one into a cocked hat

Dr Pawpaw balm does everything (brows, dry skin, cuticles, split ends, cuts, you name it). Currently £2.99 for 100ml at Home Bargains

The Ordinary serum foundation

Lidl Cien Facial serum, my skin drinks it up

AOwlAOwlAOwl · 20/05/2021 19:31

Yeah the superdrug vit E range, also a fan of rimmel 60 second nail varnish.

Vaseline intensive aloe vera body cream - sorts out all my dry patches

Sleek eye shadow palettes are great - really well pigmented, primark makeup is also pretty good.

buckeejit · 20/05/2021 19:36

I came to say the also caviar night cream. It's lush.

Also kiko eyeliners are fantastic. As are some of their makeup brushes

Jellycatspyjamas · 20/05/2021 19:38

Boots botanics hot cloth cleansing balm, £7 and is as nice as the Emma Hardie one at four times the price.

Kjr33 · 20/05/2021 19:39

The ordinary and the inky list are good places to start, for bargain skincare. depends on your skin but niacinimide and zinc serum from the ordinary is great. The inky list it’s better to stick to the basics rather than anything gimmicky. The inky list do a fun online quiz thing to help you find suitable products for your skin. Oh and one I’ve tried recently and fallen in love with is umberto gianini banana butter shampoo and conditioner, I’ve been using all sorts of expensive sets but this is way better.

Thinnerlikeachickendinner · 20/05/2021 19:46

Cetaphil night cream is under six quid and def a cult item

www.boots.com/cetaphil-rich-night-cream-10246698

Ohpulltheotherone · 20/05/2021 20:25

Anything from the inkey list. Their price point is very good, not much more than The Ordinary but much better quality.

I like the collagen boost. The BHA is nice too and I’ve heard really good things about the Salicylic acid face wash, I’m going to order that soon.

Paulas choice is a fairly expensive product range but they do small sizes of things like the 2% BHA which is incredible for congested skin. The 10ml bottle is a tenner and has lasted me a couple of months using mostly daily - it’s a great way to have higher grade products at a more reasonable price.

Serpenta · 20/05/2021 20:31

Weleda Skin Food Light (great for dry angry skin. hate the smell though)

NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil (if you don't need a whole lot of coverage this gives a 'perfect skin' effect)

Natural Collection blush in Pink Cloud (great powder blush for £2)

mammmamia · 22/05/2021 06:03

Cerave cleanser

Garnier BB cream

Geamhradh · 22/05/2021 06:37

Superdrug Vit E
Nip & Fab glycolic range (same % as Pixi without the sleb beauty guru backing)
Nip & Fab teen skin (same % ingredients as Paula's Choice without the sleb beauty...you get it)
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula body lotion. Best I have ever ever used. Sinks in immediately, moisturises for days.
Ditto hand cream £3.99 and contains 300 portions
Garnier Skin Food shampoo/conditioner/masks
Avon Glitterstix (just as good as my beloved Clinique Quickliner)
Inkey List retinol
DD likes TO Niacinamide and foundation

Re: Inkey list but especially The Ordinary- yeah it's cheap- but, be very wary of their %/ingredients lists (esp retinol) Some of the "1% retinol" turns out to be 0.01% of active ingredient.

bellabride · 22/05/2021 06:48

Cera Ve cleanser and moisturiser: great for face and body.
