Finally got around to ordering but slightly worried/excited my feet will look awful Grin.
Anyone care to share your experience if you used it?

Watching. I used it Friday night. Nothing happened yet but feet feel a bit odd.

ElspethFlashman · 16/05/2021 14:25

As someone who used it last month....give it a week. Its slow to get going but by God it goes on a bit when it gets started.

Moondust001 · 16/05/2021 14:29

Up to two weeks depending on the condition of your feet. If there is a lot of dry/hard skin then it takes longer, and this is more likely for a first time user. I'm a fan of it - use it every six or so weeks, and if you do that, then you get minimal peeling and it may be no more than 5 - 7 days afterwards. Everyone is different, so there is no exact science to it.

Two tips - it tells you not to pull at the peeling skin. It's tempting to ignore this. DON'T! And if you use a hamman glove in the shower every morning on your feet it will help get the dead skin off and then help keeping your feet in lovely condition afterwards too. But it needs to be a real Kessa/ hamman glove. They are very rough and make all other exfoliating accessories look like amateurs.

peoplearepeople · 16/05/2021 14:39

I did mine 3 weeks ago and they are still peeling. I am so fed up of it! Grin They weren't even that bad to begin with.

DrWankincense · 16/05/2021 16:32

Ok, I'm going to go for it this evening! Thanks for the tips. Does soaking help to get it all off? Along with the exfoliation?

2 weeks IME as the peeling took around a week to really kick in.

Yes it can, but it isn't really necessary - I find my daily shower is quite enough. It can be fascinating - like being a snake!
ElspethFlashman · 16/05/2021 18:34

People say that it absorbs best on post shower feet as the skin is expanded and softened and it sinks in deeper.

mogtheexcellent · 16/05/2021 18:36

Yep soak your feet first.

My peel was only a week. I scared dead skin off after the nightly soak though.

WithLargeTableMouse · 16/05/2021 18:40

Mine took 2 weeks and was spectacular. I told my colleague this and to make sure she did it at least 2 weeks before her holiday, she didn’t listen to my advice and only did it 1 week before her holiday so was subsequently shunned by her family as her skin fell off in sheets round the sunbeds Grin

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 16/05/2021 18:45

I've just looked on Amazon and there are different Footner products, which did you all use please?

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 16/05/2021 19:04

Ahh, I've looke more carefully and have workd it out. Looks great but makes me feel nervous!

StellaLeonte · 16/05/2021 19:07

Two weeks but don’t moisturise until the process is finished or it won’t work. After a couple of days, you’ll get old lady feet - really white papery skin, then whenever you’re in the shower the skin will loosen. I towel myself off then put the towel straight in the wash. It is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen but the results are really worth it! I cannot physically explain just how revolting it is, you’ve been warned!

She sounds like a genius to me.
FredaFox · 16/05/2021 19:11

@Oblahdeeoblahdoe I’ve never bothered with footbed, I’ve bought cheaper ones from Superdrug or eBay. Work just as well

DrWankincense · 16/05/2021 21:46

Well they are currently incubating Grin!
I shall report back!
Felt a bit weird and fizzy to start with but now they are just hot and slimy 🤢

I have used footner a few times and indeed the results are spectacular, I would say it can be up to 3 weeks for the process to be fully finished. What does everyone do to maintain the smooth new skin? I find the hard skin soon returns. Do I need to use it regularly every few weeks / months?

PegasusReturns · 16/05/2021 21:58

Two weeks.

5 days where nothing happens
5 says where you need to carry a handheld hoover with you
4 days of mild flakiness

The situation is much improved by sleeping in socks and soaking and filing your feet every morning.

partyatthepalace · 16/05/2021 22:21

I don’t even have much dry skin because they take it off when I get a pedi. But I really want to do this to have the experience of being a disgusting snake that has to Hoover up after myself.

AC2022 · 16/05/2021 22:36

I did mine on Thursday and no peeling yet but my skin feels tight. From experience, I know if I go for a 30 minute run on Tuesday that when I take my trainers and socks off afterwards there’ll be a massive shedding of skin. I love footner!

WellTidy · 16/05/2021 22:41

I’ve been meaning to do this for a few years! I’ve ordered the original footner on Amazon prime and I’m hoping it will arrive early enough tomorrow for me to use it in the evening. Weather forecast is rubbish for a fortnight so now is a good time!

WithLargeTableMouse · 17/05/2021 12:33

HelloDulling oh yeah, good point! Grin

WaltzForDebbie · 17/05/2021 16:39

IMO it's better to use a cracked heel cream with urea every couple of days. Then the dry skin never builds up in the first place. Smile

Lucked · 17/05/2021 18:57

I also think you get better results in the same overall time frame with strong urea cream and you never have to worry about them looking unsightly.

DrWankincense · 17/05/2021 21:21

Hmm, @WaltzForDebbie @Lucked could you recommend any brands? Will try that once the footner experience is over.
