Finally got around to ordering but slightly worried/excited my feet will look awful Grin.
Anyone care to share your experience if you used it?

@DrWankincense try Eucerin food cream, it’s almost magical at softening and keeping the skin soft. I also use that between footners. I love a footner!

*foot cream. Ffs Blush

I'm using CCS cracked heel repair but I think anything with urea in it would do the job. The key is consistency. Only thing is that they don't smell great!

Thanks 😊

I just had a quick look at this on amazon I am tempted to try it but I don't think I can handle the shedding skin 🤢 is there anything you can do to avoid/quicken the shedding process? Soaks with lotion at night? I hate wearing soaks in the house 🤣

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 18/05/2021 20:24

Does anyone use it who get eczema on their feet?
I'd love to try it but am worried it will exacerbate the eczema

DrWankincense · 20/05/2021 18:19

The shedding has begun. So hard not to peel!

Flexitol heel balm is the best one for maintaining them.

WellTidy · 20/05/2021 19:24

@DrWankincense is it dramatic? I did this for the first time ever on the 17th. No shedding as yet but I am having nightly baths to soak my feet and help it along.

DrWankincense · 21/05/2021 10:08

@WellTidy
In bits, yes!

The whole of my feet went a bit crazy paving, like the skin went a bit crocodile. And now it's coming off in fine fashion. The heels are taking a bit longer but it is doing the trick.

Brilliant! I am calculating that I will be in full shedding activity on Monday. Can’t wait!

TheMostHappy · 21/05/2021 11:00

Oh I bloody love the shedding process - it's the best bit.

I did a footner a couple of weeks ago now. I was beginning to think it hadn't worked when I noticed a massive dry bubble of skin on the sole of my foot. So I peeled and my god it was the incredible I got nearly half my foot off I just skin. I know you're not supposed to peel but I'm a terrible picker.

The next evening I was having another peeling session and put it all in a neat pile on a tissue next to me when out of nowhere my 3yo DS grabbed it and chucked it in the air like confetti. Footfetti if you will. DH's face was an absolute picture 😂

Cottonheadedninymuggins · 21/05/2021 11:05

It's awesome but so gross. Haha. Mine usually lasts approx 2 weeks for peeling (will be doing them soon as spending a weekend with family kid June and they haven't been out since last summer). Do remember to try soak them daily (doesn't have to be long. I often just out the plug in the bottom of the shower and soak them that way whilst showering)

Don't moisturise until the peeling has finished! Wearing plain socks at night is a good idea to save your bedding though.

Soak feet for at least 20 mins before starting it and wash your hands after putting the socks on or, if any got on your fingers, your fingers will peel over next 2 weeks too. That is definitely something you can't hide in public.

Soak nightly (even if just in the shower) to help loosen the skin

Try not to pick at the skin or you can easily take off skin that wasn't going to peel and then you've got red raw feet.

Don't do it with newly painted toes or you'll lose /damage the polish and waste your time / money

When you go out during the peeling time wearing socks and shoes make sure you take them off over a newspaper or bin etc otherwise you'll be hovering up a shoe full of dead skin.
