Everyday Shapewear

Does anyone have recommendations for everyday shapewear? I’m a pear shape usually but having had babies and several abdominal surgeries in the past few years have been left with quite a pronounced tum. Working on the diastesis and losing weight but would love to be able to wear tucked in tops etc without feeling uncomfortable amd self conscious.

Looking for recommendations for everyday shapewear to smooth the tummy area. Has anyone tried the moraclesuit waist cincher?

I’m currently a 14/16.

If you've found this page in search of shapewear that has been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best shapewear useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

I haven't ordered it yet so can't properly recommend, but have spent the morning looking at M&S shape wear and they've got a huge choice at reasonable prices.

Having tried a few different shape wear I have found Sainsbury’s to be the best and most comfortable. I normally wear a size 10/12 but I buy the biggest knickers I can and heave them up as far as they’ll go!

I love Primark’s ultra high waisted shapewesr knickers. They literally come up to the bra and are very stretchy so not industrial strength sucking in but you can eat, drink, get them up and down to pee with no issues.

Thanks everyone. Off to look at all these. Will definitely take a look on primark as losing weight and primark prices are appealing!

Heist. Expensive but so worth it - really breathable and comfortable and makes me look miles better.

If you are looking for something to wear with a dress or a skirt, try looking at the M&S control slips.

Some have a built in bra, others are designed so you wear a regula bra.

Obviously, none of this will help you, if you are looking for something to go with jeans or trousers.

Looking for both really. Keen to tuck in tops etc but feel too self conscious right now. I’ve ordered some from m+s for now and will take a look in primark tomorrow. If they don’t cut it I’ll splash out on Heist!

@DottyDetective please come back and tell us what you think. I’m looking into this at the moment too.
