Hello everyone!

Not been on here in ages. Work has been a bit overwhelming and I've found myself slipping back into the habit of chucking on crappy old leggings and hoodies every day, so I haven't had much worth posting, really. We went to a wedding yesterday, though, so an excuse to dress up!

I think I've got about 10 pages to catch up on so will be doing that today - but @Justonedayatatime11 I am very envious of your fabulous Fairfax & Favor collection, you look great! How do you find the Brancasters? I'm a bridesmaid in September and have been instructed to wear smart sandals and the bride has approved them as an option, but I want to make sure they're comfy before splashing out!

My outfit yesterday, as a wedding guest -

Both are absolutely ancient and were borrowed from my DM. We're not sure how old the dress is exactly, but she thinks she bought it for Royal Ascot over 20 years ago. The shoes were a pre-me purchase (so almost 30!) very comfy, though, and I loved wearing the dress.

Then a "dressed down but a little more effort than leggings and hoodie" outfit from Friday -

@toastfiend Brancasters are the best. So comfy. But you have to size down. I'm a 5 and buy Brancasters in a 4, they fit perfectly. Have fuschia, cowhide and tan/turquoise. Love them!

@toastfiend welcome back! I'm glad you are okay. Looking great in your 'vintage' outfit!

@chasingmytail4 I set a 'buy it now ' price. I was inspired to do that by Emma Hill who sells all her old stuff at low buy it now prices. So I either decide a price myself or else eBay often suggests it for you based on how that brand etc sells. I did some research before I did it and that seems to be okay. So most 'tops' are £10or less. Jeans £15-20 depending on brand ( but some less), dresses really depends but rarely anything above £20. My theory is it's all wasted money any way if it's just sitting around unworn now and I have let go of the guilt of not wearing stuff I have by doing this. I only sell stuff in totally wearable condition. Some stuff has never been worn ( it took me a while to work out my clothes after I had to give up work) and is in lovely condition. It's quite good fun and nice to think that someone else is enjoying it.

@chasingmytail4 watch out for postage charges! Make sure you cover actual cost and remember eBay charges 12.5% on sales

Having bad evenings and nights ( bed at 12.30 am, up at 3.50 am!) so am all over the place. No full,length photo possible today. Waiting for call from kind GP.

I am extremely stressed because I have ordered a pair of prescription Ray Ban sunglasses online using my last prescription plus an app estimate of my pupillary distance. RayBan are fab ( excellent customer service) and full of advice but I'm still anxious as it's £350 ( much less than via my own optician) but justifying it because I've sold so much on eBay. DH has no qualms about my spending but I feel massive guilt about spending now I don't earn. Daft

Re wardrobe organisation, I am 6 months into the hangers the wrong way method. The theory is you put all your hangers the wrong way and everything you wear then gets put back with the hanger the right way, then after a year or 2 you know what you never wear and can cull.

I am a terrible clothes hoarder though, would love to be able to part with at least half my wardrobe.

Yesterday was a disaster, the Dr Who was cancelled as the cast had to self isolate, our train got terminated at West Ruislip (rather than Marylebone) due to signal failure.

We got to Oxford Circus and just about to wander around for a while when I realise there's a reason theres a helicopter and loads of police about as protesters are coming towards us. DD is already a bit overwhelmed with the number of people and holding my hand which is unusual for her especially at 11 years old but her autism means she can get sensory overload.

Luckily we got out of their before the protesters arrived and had a nice time walking around the tower of London which was very quiet.

@zigzagaway that's clever! I've now ironed everything but actually wear and hung it up properly. Plus a few things that I'd forgotten I even had and like. Also, everyone needs yellow trainers. Basic human right.

Because I never iron I've found it strangely relaxing. And it's reignited my liking for some clothes that have been crumpled at the back of draws!

@Purplecatshopaholic that's a very swish outfit.

@Sooverthemill I'm sorry it's tough, hope the nice GP has some suggestions.

OMG @Sickoffamilydrama that is the day out form hell. The Tower is great though, I took DD last month. Not quite Dr. Who though!

@Sickoffamilydrama that's a nightmare of a day. Tower of London always a good call. I also love the London transport museum and the dock lands museum. Our kids enjoyed them too but of course the big pull was the science museum and the dinosaur museum plus any pizza restaurant!

Today I’m in new pink trousers. I initially thought these might be too tight when I first tried them on, but I’ve changed my mind. They’re very thin corduroy and extremely comfortable. Although not really office wear (which I suppose doesn’t matter as I’m still only allowed in the office once per week and my office day is Monday).
