Thank you for all the good wishes yesterday. Sadly it went very badly. Back to the drawing board.
Sunny so in happy clothes
Tee: Boden
Skirt: Sézane ( stalked on eBay and a bargain)
Sandals: Penelope Chilvers ( these are a replacement as original ones stretched after 2 wears and they replaced with no fuss at all)
Cardigan: mango

@obliettebravo very sensible though I liked 1 and if you could find one that is the fit of 3 but a different colour I'm sure you'd find a place for it - the shape is fab on you. Love the sandals too.

Also @obliettebravo @Justonedayatatime11 @zigzagaway and @EllaPaella how do you all make jeans and top look so stylish? I have a suspicion you iron your clothes. Also @zigzagaway tell me your converse are brand new and not just clean.

@Sickoffamilydrama it's nice! Love a DD comment. I occasionally get asked why I'm dressing like a teenager. She also commented that my new haircut looked "brushed".

Does anyone iron their clothes? Is that what I have to start doing to keep up?

@Sooverthemill I'm so sorry about that. How can they keep sending you back to square one?

If it's any consolation you look beautiful today. Skirt is lovely and I like the sandals very much.

Oh and this is what I am wearing for now as I finish removing the detritus from when I hacked back the garden jungle last week.

But I'm going out in the afternoon so will wear something respectable and (now) ironed.

Thank you @Shannith tbh it was devastating and both DD and I are drained and depressed. Waited since September for that phone call. Meanwhile I'm sleeping in her room many nights and holding her hand and telling her she won't die. I'm going to try to find a different doctor but that may mean going back to London which is tough for DD

I don't iron because I can't lift the ironing board anymore but I've just bought a hand steamer as I made lots of eBay money and DH sometimes need a decent looking shirt and I like linen in the summer.

@Shannith I have to admit I do iron some clothes, I draw the line at ironing bedding though! And the converse are old but with new laces, in real life they are quite grubby

@Shannith - I iron my clothes approximately once every 18 months (and even then it’s really just the cotton shirts). I don’t think I’ve ever ironed a pair of jeans (or indeed any garment made of denim) in my entire life!

A hand held steamer sounds marvellous.

I'm with you @OublietteBravo but today I am going to iron something.

@zigzagaway my ex used to iron pillowcases. Nothing else- apart from shirts and those. It's not why he's an ex.

Off out for coffee and charity shop shopping.

I used to iron everything and have a huge pile on the go.

But now it's extremely rare I iron only if something desperately needs it I've got two things on the banisters waiting for a quick iron.

I'm storing my t shirts in the top of my wardrobe and could do with a way to prevent them needing ironing. I think I need some kind of stacker?

Oh no @Sooverthemill not the same by any means but I'm going round in circles trying to get someone to take my constant joint pain seriously, think I might finally be getting somewhere!

Wow what a haul @Shannith! How fantastic, wish I had some good charity shops near me.

We have had a run of lovely hot sunny weather up here but I do feel a bit relieved tonight as it started to rain, the humidity was making me feel so tired and it feels like the air has cleared a bit now.
I'm off to centre parcs tomorrow and the forecast is a bit mixed so not sure what to pack.

Yesterday I was freezing by lunchtime so pulled on my jeans and took myself under the duvet to warm up! DD spent most of the day asleep thank goodness

I was thinking about the comments on ironing and wondering if it was worth starting a separate thread on wardrobe management (something I’m terrible at, but would like to improve). What do you think?

@OublietteBravo I'd join in. Do you mean mending, maintenance, ironing , storing or do you mean declutterung?

All of those @Sooverthemill. All the bits that go with having an interest in clothes, a finite amount of storage space, and wanting to make the most of your wardrobe.

@OublietteBravo I'm in. I'm constantly putting off sorting my wardrobe, it's absolutely crammed with stuff that's never been worn because I always revert back to my comfort zone of jeans and a top!
