Sweaty Betty leggings and camel toe

I bought some SB power leggings as I've read so much great stuff about them, but am I the only one to find the seam cuts right up their crotch giving camel toe? So annoyed as have been lusting after some decent leggings for a while. So what alternatives? I'm quite tall at 5'9 and a curvy size 10 (small waist big bum I mean) not particularly needing sucking in, just want nice squat proof leggings that don't fall down, wash well, and don't give me camel toe!

@Bluntness100 or perhaps some people are a different shape to you and therefore might get camel toe where you don't?

I like asics leggings personally, they seem to fit me best

MummyJ12 · 30/08/2021 23:07

Okaaay @Bluntness100 thanks so much for that advice…..!
A longtime experienced runner, 5ft 9in. Believe me, I know how to rock (wear) running leggings. Please don’t patronise me. Sweaty Betty products are just a bit rubbish, it’s absolutely not how I’m wearing them. They look ok (apart from the camel toe bit!) then literally fall down as I’m running. Do you think I’m trying to pull a Simon Cowell?! Why do you think I’d want to do that to myself 😂🤣

MummyJ12 · 30/08/2021 23:09

@Llamadog I’m really glad that SB leggings work for you, at that price, someone deserves to wear and enjoy them! Like you rightly posted, one brand doesn’t suit everyone x

tangone · 30/08/2021 23:17

My Nike leggings are my favourite for exercise. Haven’t tried SB.

ActonSquirrel · 30/08/2021 23:21

Either they are a really old pair or they're ridiculously too small for you.

This is a new pair of power leggings. They have the triangle not a straight seam so I'm not sure how you're getting a camel toe. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ooh. Interesting, mine didn’t have the triangle but I bought mine last year. I’m still not sure about the quality of them though, what do you think to the quality of the fabric @ActonSquirrel?

ActonSquirrel · 30/08/2021 23:31

@MummyJ12

They can't be powers then. I've just looked through all of mine and they all have the triangle. These 2 pairs are 3 years old.

I think the quality is excellent. I don't wear anything else. Hold my tummy and bum in, they stay dry and don't have sweat patches and they are squat proof.

The only Sweaty Betty leggings I like are their high shine ones but they still slip around a little during squats. IMO Beyond Yoga have the best leggings: they’re called space dye, in lots of colours, high waisted, super soft, stay in place regardless of activity (I wear them for HIIT, running, yoga, strength etc) & squat proof! I buy from either The Sports Edit or from Revolve (US company but free shipping & returns, no customs charges). I’m a size 10 & wear a medium.

MummyJ12 · 30/08/2021 23:44

Mine are the Zero gravity ones @ActonSquirrel looking online they still have the centre seam. Such a shame, they’re too big anyway. I should’ve just returned them. They are definitely not too small and I’m definitely not trying to hoist them up to my armpits like some are suggesting!!

ActonSquirrel · 31/08/2021 00:07

Ah I don't like zero Gs @MummyJ12

Don't find they fit my body shape very well. They are spray on practically!

MummyJ12 · 31/08/2021 00:11

Maybe I need to try the Power ones, and be converted?!! The triangle is genius 💗

TheOrigRights · 31/08/2021 00:22

I love my SW leggings. Never had camel toe. I am 5"8' and wear small. I have a gap between sock and end of legging.

I'd really recommend them! 😊

I’m 5.9 and wear SB running leggings in a medium. No camel toe, no issues with them falling down. They have a drawstring at the waist you know. Or at least the power ones do.

TuftyRusty · 31/08/2021 07:25

I’m also tall - 5 ft 10 and have a bigger bum/hips to waist (26 waist, 38 around the hips). I wear a Small. No issues with camel toe. Also surprised that people report them falling down, given that they have a drawstring. Might be worth trying other sizes/models, otherwise good brands to try might be On, Lululemon, Girlfriend Collective.

mashpot · 31/08/2021 07:31

I have a couple of pairs of Power leggings (with the triangle!) and I find them great leggings. I think finding the right pair is personal preference.

fruitpastille · 31/08/2021 07:49

My M&S good move leggings have a triangle, drawstring, zip pocket and good fabric but they are a fraction of SB prices at 25 quid.
