Does anyone have any recommendations for a collagen supplement that works and doesn’t completely break the bank, please?

Cube of jelly a day - that’s gelatine - cooked collagen and is broken down by the body into exactly the same proteins and metabolised in the same way. Remember when your grandma would give you a jelly cube for your hair and teeth? That’s all it is. There’s an awful lot of pseudoscience surrounding collagen. Have some Haribos if you’re feeling exotic.

Both me and my mum (76) take Wellguard gold standard collagen powder. Couple of teaspoons in cafetiere in the morning completely tasteless. When we started prob over 12 months ago now my mums nails were in a terrible state. So weak they would literally bend and peel off. My skin and nails were pretty good but hair was thinning and never got past shoulder length. I saw my mum for the first time in ages yesterday and she said she just couldn't believe what a difference it had made to my hair. It's thicker, longer, just looks in really good condition. My hairdresser can't believe the difference. My mum now has these strong, long nails that she loves. She said in all her 76 years it's the only beauty/health product she thinks has worked. I thought my skin was pretty good but there was a period of a month or two I stopped taking it and I really noticed that my skin wasn't as plump and I looked older somehow so was straight back on it. I think you have to ingest it for it to make a difference. Creams just wouldn't work as they sit on the surface of the skin. Powder better than supplements. I get ours from Amazon.

Hmmmm, an advert came up on my Facebook with Peter Andre drinking a collagen supplement. I was considering it and posting for opinions on here but it doesn’t seem worth it.
