Exactly that! Please help. Cheaper would be better but I am happy to consider investing if it’s really good stuff.

Mac fix + is all you need

DrWankincense · 11/02/2021 20:06

@Isit7yet 😄

mowglika · 11/02/2021 20:18

Smooth polished skin and something like Mac strobe cream or some other illuminating primer mixed into your face cream/foundation

emma6776 · 11/02/2021 20:22

Gel moisturiser, Estée Lauder cc cream with a little bit of Mac strobe (amazing stuff!) mixed in.

Beachlovingirl · 11/02/2021 20:57

I have the Trinny BFF serum and the just a touch concealer. Gives a lovely dewy look, actually like my skin but better. The concealer is just amazing, doesn’t cake, doesn’t crease, not dry like some can be, very impressed with it. I’m 43.

MavisDracula1 · 11/02/2021 21:04

I am 37, but I never had dewy skin till I changed my makeup tbh. I now use a No7 foundation which has protect and perfect serum in it, benetint blush stuff, liquid bronzer and illuminator cream on top. How you get dewy skin without makeup I have no idea, but am all ears!

Double cleanse, rosehip oil massaged into skin with a jade roller, exfoliate a few times a week.

Wherediditgo · 11/02/2021 21:06

I’m in late 30s and just started using a derma roller - man it’s good.
I used it the other evening then got straight into a bath with a collagen face mask on. Dewy and plumped skin for a couple of days afterwards. Can highly recommend!

Wherediditgo · 11/02/2021 21:07

Just to say - the derma roller is a micro-needle one

BrownFootStool · 11/02/2021 21:16

Dab a bit of vaseline around your eyes and on your cheekbones

Lockdowndramaqueen · 11/02/2021 21:45

What cream blush do you use @calamityjane - I used to use it all the time but struggling to find anymore. Thanks

VitalSigns23 · 11/02/2021 22:43

@Icenii I think you are supposed to pat it in using your ring finger. One with a wand also helps as you can apply then gently blend

MrDarcysMa · 11/02/2021 22:46

Exfoliafion..... oil...... Charlotte tilbury holywood glow...

Ilovelove · 11/02/2021 22:46

Another vote for Trinny Ldn.
It has made my skin look amazing.
Also I have found the colour predicter thing on their website to be accurate.

WelliesWithHeels · 12/02/2021 02:46

Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Face does the trick. A chilled jade roller followed by a moisturizing face spray is great, too. I like the Laura Mercier and Amore Pacific sprays.

Cocogreen · 12/02/2021 02:54

Water, 6-8 glasses a day.
Moisturiser with Sunblock 30 plus
Don’t smoke
Alcohol in moderation

MoChridhe · 12/02/2021 02:59

Palmer's cocoa butter

BabylovesJohnny · 12/02/2021 03:54

I’m smiling at some of the responses! Smile Really appreciate the ideas and suggestions here- lots to be going on with. Thank you.

Definitely use oil under your moisturiser x

Whilst I'm on the facial oil trail, just thought I'd mention Elemis Pro Collagen Facial Oil. Have you tried it? It's steep, but, it really is beautiful. Failing that, I've had plenty of facial oils from TK Maxx which have been very effective

PandemicPalava · 12/02/2021 04:47

Water, less sugar and facial oil

Kitewoman · 12/02/2021 07:17

Nothing really. Sad

PearlescentIridescent · 12/02/2021 07:34

I'm in my twenties but I love the dewy skin look and have naturally dry skin so it's not something I can achieve naturally.

I've found good skincare with focus on what does work rather than what should work, weekly acid exfoliation and more frequent gentle manual exfoliation. I use lots of oil in my routine, cleansing and as moisturising step and that makes a big difference for me.

Makeup wise, I use a naturally dewy finish one. My favourites are actually drugstore ones - Maybelline Dream Radiant and the sadly discontinued in the UK Bourjois Healthy Mix. I've also replaced most sparkly products which I use to be obessesed with, with a really good tip for dewy skin - use a lip balm after finishing base makeup for a natural glow without glitter which can look a bit harsh and unnatural in natural light. You can use a tinted one as blush as well! I don't personally as I use benefit tints for blush. I do use powder highlighter on my nose as it needs to stay in that small place but it also really works for a nice youthful look.

Graffitiqueen · 12/02/2021 10:34

put on a bit of weight so your skin plumps out.
acid exfoliation
hyaluronic acid
water

EssexLioness · 12/02/2021 10:57

Another vote for rosehip oil. It’s made such a difference to my skin and I’m also 43. Started using it in first lockdown and saw a big difference in just a couple of weeks. I also make sure I drink plenty of water
