Hunter wellies for the fat of leg?

Just that really? I have fat legs but would really like some Hunter wellies. I know they do adjustable ones (Huntress?), but wondered how adjustable they are? Would they cater for a chunky monkey?

I've got a pair of short length Hunters, I have wide calves.

They do a LOT of work and I've had them a year. I really like them.

I love my Hunters but they're mighty tight on my average sized calf. Good job I didn't buy the socks to go inside as I'd not get them on.
Before my Hunters I wore Dunlop's.
While not as aesthetically pleasing (to my eye anyway) they were amazingly comfortable and did the job.

I'm large of calf and couldn't get any Hunter boots to fit me (I tried on a lot...!)

I found Muck Boots to be the best, comfortable, supportive and fit really well.

Hunters were tight on my calves when I was slim, I’d have no chance now! Plus they’ve been absolutely crap quality since they stopped making them in Scotland. They’re designed for festival goers nowadays, not for people who need wellies regularly.

Another vote for Aigle Parcours. I’ve got the neoprene lined ones and they’re so warm and comfortable. They’re also adjustable to easy to get on and off and you can wear thick trousers with them. My calves don’t fit into normal Hunters or Le Chameau but Aigle are perfect.

My last pair of wellies were Hunter Argyll which fit my calves but barely lasted a winter. The quality of them is awful for the price. You’re better off paying a bit more for the Aigles and have them last.

I cut the top off my Hunters to fit. They sit just under my calf. Not much wiggle room but I do find them comfy and have lasted well 👍

Don't bother with Hunters. Jileon wellies are perfect for extra large calves. Before them I wore short Dunlop ones from Sports Direct.

Thanks so much for everyone's replies. I had never heard of Aigle so that's something to explore, along with the others.

I currently have a paid of Joules wellies but wanted something more heavy duty for gardening and walking, sounds like Hunters won't fit that bill if they're not known for lasting. Wellies are made to work hard in our family!

Wow these really fit the bill and happily I am the 'wide' and not 'extra wide' category which has, rather sadly I suppose, made my day!
