Alternative to North Face puffa jacket

If your teen wanted a North Face puffa, but no way am I spending £200/250 on her, is there a decent alternative in more like the £60 price range? It doesn't matter if it's not quite as warm, as long as it's warm enough for a London winter, has a hood, and looks similar to the North Face one. The best I can find is from Uniqlo, but it doesn't seem to have a hood

thanks op update of it looks similar to the real ones !

That padded one at the top is nothing like the feather ones .. I can't see a teen being happy with it if they are wanting the current fashion for oversized massive puffers .😬... have you looked at second hand ? They are easy to wash and dry and come up like new most of the time .

@Thisidmynewname123
Can those be genuine North Face at that price ?

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 21/11/2020 15:52

They are most definitely fake .. !!

I just bought a Berghaus jacket from Sportspursuit.com for £80.

The north face puffas are very popular at my sons' school too. Last year, I bought my son a puffa from Jack Wiils in the outlet sale for £30.

I borrow it occasionally and it's lovely, looks nice and is very warm. I'm sure they have something similar this year.

My kids have a tendency to leave clothes lying around sports fields in obscure places, so my son was happy not to have the responsibility of a £180 jacket. We also have quite a lot of muggings at the tube station by school.

Sorry, just reread your last post and realised I'm a bit late to the party! Glad you found something.

Well we got the north face puffer ordered from eBay, took a week to arrive, - it looks legit, has the tags on it, in a branded plastic bag bag etc - there is one difference - it’s not the cropped puffer (So not as short as the ones that are on the north face website) - so perhaps old stock?
I think eBay would not allow the blatant selling of these if it were fake surely?
Measurements of length etc of the jacket are on eBay .

Looks super warm and nice though

No success with the ebay puffa! It was a scam seller who later disappeared from ebay. I now have my money back and have ordered the one from Mountain warehouse that someone suggested above in the thread

It’s hard isn’t it. DD wanted a £700 Moncler jacket for her 18th. We resisted strongly but as she knew we’d have spent nearly that on jewellery or a watch and was offering to make up the difference, we relented eventually. 6 years on she still wears it all the time. They replaced it once when the zip failed and she’s going to get it restuffed next payday.
If you can, get it from an official stocker for ongoing customer service.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 29/11/2020 15:01

@iwantavuvezela can you post thr link to the seller you got it from ? Thanks

Coffeepot72 · 29/11/2020 15:31

@iwantavuvezela I would be interested in that too!

iwantavuvezela · 29/11/2020 19:30

The person I ordered from is no longer on eBay - however I received it on time, I looked for a UK seller with reviews.
I think also make sure you pay via PayPal so if needed can always get a refund that way.

ChequerBoard · 02/12/2020 12:21

Is it the North Face brand your DS wants or the look of the coat?

My DS13 is completely brand unaware but asked for a down filled coat with a hood so I have ordered him this one. I paid £55.30 using a Black Friday code. It's now £63.20 with the code DEAL1.

I had exactly this with my son very recently. I bid on a few on ebay but in the end we went for a Body Armour one but not sure this will work with a girl.
