Anyone here use the Pitrok crystal/salt deodorant?

I have come across this deodorant that's supposed to contain no bad ingredients for your skin. I like the fact that it's dry as I've never liked roll-on deodorants and would rather not use a spray one. Does anyone here use the Pitrok crystal one? Here it is www.amazon.co.uk/PitRok-W1060-Push-Up-Crystal-Deodorant/dp/B000S858L0/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-nc-drs1_0?psc=1&keywords=PitRok+W1060+Push-Up+Crystal+Deodorant+100g&pd_rd_i=B000S858L0&qid=1605279546&cv_ct_cx=PitRok+W1060+Push-Up+Crystal+Deodorant+100g&dchild=1&s=drugstore&pf_rd_p=344521d5-1bc6-4c7a-9776-9c81f49df30a&pd_rd_wg=lvbHc&pf_rd_r=DQBQ34ANSAVQDW1DY492&pd_rd_w=TywX9&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&pd_rd_r=32dc4bd1-00d5-4fb6-b180-5fdb4c0b1e29&sr=1-1-0f636240-5ebc-47e0-a5f7-bb2a7fa20976

Yes! I really rate it. And it lasts forever

ThankYouDebbie · 13/11/2020 20:56

Yes and no problems at all.

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 13/11/2020 20:57

Handy for preventing shaving rash anywhere on the body too. It’s basically shaving alum.

Meripenopause · 13/11/2020 20:57

I use it every day and find it very effective.

firedragon101 · 13/11/2020 21:00

Yes, works well, but I find not on very hot days or if I'm wearing synthetics.

toucancancan · 13/11/2020 21:03

Wasn't effective for me and I did whiff when wearing it

NannyR · 13/11/2020 21:10

I've used one for years, for me personally it's more effective at keeping me odour free than sure/dove/Mitcham type antiperspirants. It doesn't stop me sweating but there's no smell at all.
I also like that it lasts for years so works out very economical and drastically cuts down on plastic packaging.
I rub the crystal onto wet skin straight after my shower. It's not a completely natural "no bad chemicals" product, it contains alum but I don't think it's as bad as other deodorants/ antiperspirants.

RandomUsernameHere · 13/11/2020 21:25

Yes I've used it for ages, it's great and as a PP said one stick lasts for years. It's not as effective as an anti-perspirant, so I wouldn't use it for a special night out or a wedding for example, but for everyday use it's good.

BarryWhiteIsMyBrother · 14/11/2020 08:01

It's not all natural? I thought it was a block of something - salt/crystal, etc. Isn't it?

I used it years ago, it did stop wiffyness but you still sweated which was hard to get used to. Ii

I then bought the Aloe Vera one and had a massive reaction to it and haven't used it since

I don’t find it effective for me at all

HardAsSnails · 14/11/2020 15:02

I've been using Salt of the Earth for months now and it's very good, but is quite wet. Today I'm trying Nuud which is supposed to only need applying every 3-7 days, it's a cream so very easy to apply (but feels weird applying cream to armpits).

BarryWhiteIsMyBrother · 15/11/2020 07:58

I thought those long-lasting creams are bad for you as they contain nasty stuff. Or was that only 30 years ago?

I use pitrok and find it slightly less effective than a regular roll on but I'm happy to accept that for the more natural approach

500BusStops · 15/11/2020 08:30

I've been using a Biork one from Holland and Barratt. It's brilliant! Really works and I wasn't expecting it to at all

Joeyandpacey · 15/11/2020 08:33

It has aluminium in so I wouldn’t touch it

Notarealmum · 15/11/2020 08:58

I swear by it - changed over to it years ago when I became allergic to regular deodorant and haven’t looked back. I find it to be the most effective deodorant I’ve ever used - and I live in a HOT country - and no white marks on black clothes is a bonus!

Bvop · 15/11/2020 08:59

Didn’t work for me

I’ve never found any aluminium-free deodorant to be effective. I swear a normal amount (not too much) but I never feel clean in any of them and I’ve tried a good few including a Crystal one ...

It’s frustrating as it is nice to know you’re using a kinder product.

Duckwit · 15/11/2020 09:27

I use Bionsen, the stick one, on a daily basis. I find that I don't really sweat that much under my arms either these days (which is weird because as a teenager I had a serious serious problem with underarm sweating). But I still have a bottle of Sure anti-perspirant roll on as well, for when it does get very hot or I do feel a bit sweaty. But I really like Bionsen now.

ScrapThatThen · 15/11/2020 09:58

I use the pitrok push up crystal one which I find very effective unlike the pitrok spray or roll on (the link looks like mine but says its a spray?) It takes a few days to kick in but then works fine for me could miss it a day or two before I notice, and lasts good six months or more. Love it. I do lots of sport too. I use soap to shower too which helps reduce whiffiness.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/11/2020 14:51

Hmmm, I tried it, it was definitely effective, no doubt about that. However, after only a week the reaction on my underarm skin was so bad (red weeping itchy lumps) it took weeks of steroid cream to clear it.
