How long could you go without a clothes wash?

Leaving lingerie out but assuming no season change.
I think I could go 5-6 weeks and wonder if I have too many clothes...

Not long. Maybe 10 days max? That's wearable clothes. If I add in a couple of posh dresses I reserve for weddings then I could get to a full fortnight.

Do PJs count? If so, add on another 2 weeks.

However I have a small pile of favourites I rewear so in the real world I would last 5 days.

ParcelFarce · 05/09/2020 21:46

By 3 weeks I’d be running out of options pretty fast...

Jigglyjugs · 05/09/2020 21:52

Probably 3 weeks, not counting gym wear, formal wear and pj's. I wouldn't necessarily like all my outfits though!

Giggorata · 05/09/2020 21:56

Probably months.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/09/2020 21:57

Quite a long time if I absolutely had to. Interesting idea for a challenge!

copperoliver · 05/09/2020 22:13

Me too lol. X

Lolly34h · 05/09/2020 22:13

5 days max

MimosaFields · 05/09/2020 22:25

6 weeks at least, including underwear. I know... It's crazy

SherlocksDeerstalker · 05/09/2020 22:28

Do you have to wear everything just once? Cos I’d wear each pair of trousers for a week. I mean I don’t have that many clothes really, but if I had to, I could seriously make them last! (Undercrackers notwithstanding)

littlefireseverywhere · 05/09/2020 22:28

About 2 weeks max

dudsville · 05/09/2020 22:29

I only have 10 or 12 pants and four bras - I've become accustomed to wireless ones since lockdown, so that limits things. But given that it's not hot anymore I reckon my clothes could easily see me through to the hot part of next summer.

LioneIRichTea · 05/09/2020 22:30

Several months but I’d be going commando 🙈 I have too many clothes, I mean, I could wear a T-shirt a day and last a couple months on them alone!

VirginiaWolverine · 05/09/2020 22:43

Probably a month if I include gym clothes and also air stuff after wearing and re-wear it unless it has actual dirt on it. That's with three day dresses, one skirt, one pair of proper trousers, two pairs of lounging harem pants, two long-sleeved tops, a dozen T-shirts/vest tops/ exercise tops, two cardigans, a hoodie a zip up hoodie, two warm jumpers, an evening dress and two pairs of gym leggings.

Flowersmakemyday · 05/09/2020 22:48

I realised when I went to uni as a mature student and had to start using the onsite laundry that I could make my clothes last a lot longer than I did at home because it was too easy to put the washing machine on. I reckon I could last a good few weeks if I had to.

SpeedofaSloth · 05/09/2020 22:49

A week.

It depends if you just mean how long while still being clothed i.e. a top and bottom layer, or how long while appropriately dressed. I could technically do a month or so in summer autumn or spring (short sleeves) and about 3 weeks in winter assuming a jumper change a day. However in reality I do 2.5 days solo with a toddler, 2.5 days in a casual office and then weekends where I try not to look too slovenly. I only have 2 pairs of leggings, and 3 pairs of jeans dark and well-fitting enough for work, plus toddler grub, so in reality I get a bit low on essentials after 2 weeks.

JaceLancs · 05/09/2020 23:01

Months if not years!
I love clothes

FinallyHere · 05/09/2020 23:33

Two weeks worth of comfortable clothes.

Then I would be reduced to wearing the stuff I wear less often, including the suit I wore to get married in 2000 and my evening clothes. Oh, and my school
blazer.

Notarealmum · 06/09/2020 10:55

Could be I’d never have to wash again 🤷🏼‍♀️. Though some of the outfits I’d have to resort to might be pretty unsuitable if not downright ridiculous (yes, I have a very large wardrobe that includes some not entirely wise purchases I can’t bring myself to offload...)

pinkbalconyrailing · 06/09/2020 10:57

2 weeks until I run out of socks.
rest of the clothes similar I think.

sitckmansladylove · 06/09/2020 11:00

A week absolutely max. I have two pairs of gym leggings (but cant go to work in them). Two trousers/ two cropped trousers.
I cant fit into anything else Confused
Ive plenty of tops.

pinkbalconyrailing · 06/09/2020 11:51

if I were to include my 'best' including my wedding dress, maybe 3 weeks

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 06/09/2020 12:30

Years 😳i love clothes and sadly have a bit of a buying habit

LesLavandes · 06/09/2020 13:27

Months for most things except nightwear, socks and pants
