That I do have a waist but it is higher than I assumed it was - higher waisted clothes definitely suit me best. (A couple of years ago I read about the "golden ratio" in outfits and realised it's not just me, there is a sound theory behind it. But I agree with the person upthread with long legs who said it wouldn't work for them - I always thought Theresa May looked out of proportion in trousers and short jackets too.
Scoop necks look much better with my rather short thick neck. I shouldn't wear long earrings and a necklace.
Fly shoes and boots are incredibly comfortable and worth paying a bit more for.
Skinny jeans really don't suit people (ie me!) with big feet, unless they are tucked into either long boots or short boots with slouchy socks/legwarmers.
That my best make-up look is dark greyish brown eyeliner, mascara and lipstick - all those hours spent creating smokey eyes were unnecessary!
When I can be arsed to wear eyeshadow, bronzey colours have the miraculous effect of making my wishy-washy greyish eyes look very blue.
Cocoon dresses are surprisingly flattering and versatile.
Never wear a white top with sun cream - it turns yellow around the edges!
Never wear new jeans in the rain with light coloured shoes, in case the colour runs. I learnt this the hard way.
