OMG. Have you been in to Jigsaw recently?

Everything was lovely.

It was delicious.

There was velvet and cotton and lovely ruched up skirts and weird cardigans.

There were swoony boots with edging and there were shiny shoes with sharp heels.

There were velvet coats with big buttons and jumpers and everything was divine.

The lady said they have a new designer. It was sooo much better. It was soooo expensive.

I want it all. I want the velvet coat, I want the weirdy blue dress, I really want the hunting boots.

Tell me tell me, I nneeeeeed hunting boots and DH says I can have some for Christmas (just HOW expensive??)

TWIGgerhappy · 05/10/2007 19:00

now what pisses me off, what really really makes me mad is when you go on a website to see clothes and see lots of pretty women in weird poses hiding the clothes to make an arty shot

I wanna see the clothes fgs .. the clothes of which you speak not a forest with a woman crouched down it in

(hobbs does it well though)

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:01

Oh gawd I thought it was expensive. The coat I wanted cost £200. Was velvet and slouchy. The green one was a bit robin hood I thought, but the black one. . . .

But the boots. Right the boots were delicious. They were flat, black and had a band of colour at the top. Everything was lovely.

I know Twig, I was going to do links but looked at the website and thought who needs to see the trees.

Go to Jigsaw though, go.

Also the new shop in Bath is lovely and huge and has pink table lamps and wooden tables and funky changing-rooms. I want to live there.

Is it more expensive than Boden?

It sounds much nicer....

ProfessorGrammaticus · 05/10/2007 19:04

I'm going with a friend on monday. Am very excited now! Did they have lots of suiting stuff in for work too? - I'm on for home and work stuff so will probably spend a fortune!!

ProfessorGrammaticus · 05/10/2007 19:05

And were the accessories any good?

lalaa · 05/10/2007 19:05

am soooooo excited about new shop in Bath. And the fact that the old one is becoming a White Stuff. Fabbo.

Coolmama · 05/10/2007 19:05

i just find the colours for the most part are always quite dreary -

ggglimpopo · 05/10/2007 19:06

Is there a website (cant find it - keep ending up on a dating site "love the last piece of the puzzle......")

Tamum · 05/10/2007 19:07

I love the Cabbages and Roses (is that right?) jumpers in there atm. I picked one up that I particularly liked only to find it was £185. Absolutely beautiful girls' velvet dresses too... sigh.

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:08

Have you been in there lalaa? You won't want to leave.

Not sure how it compares to Boden price-wise - but it's much, much nicer.

Yes, really good work suits, but not as drab as they used to be. Everything has been given a kick.

They have these lovely dresses, sort of half tunic half dress, to wear with a big belt and tights and boots. I loved them. I want the blue one.

Tamum · 05/10/2007 19:08

Oh ggg, the website is crap. It's a kind of book where you turn the pages with just a few garments like a fashion shoot.

ggglimpopo · 05/10/2007 19:09

bum, but I suppose it is just as well. I can hardly nip in to my 'local' jigsaw and pick up somtehing I have fallen in love with!

hoxtonchick · 05/10/2007 19:13

half tunic half dress sounds divine 100. i see next week panning out nicely!

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:14

Oh yes! And we can go there because on the other side Hoxton is Jigsaw Junior - with boxes and little seats - but I didn't dare go over there.

And when we come back both my ds's will be able to tie their shoelaces. It's going to be the best time ever.

FrannyandZombie · 05/10/2007 19:14

It sounds like Per Una.

oh dear oh dear I must not say that, I have already upset you once today

Tamum · 05/10/2007 19:15

Yes, completely different from Boden I would say and not really any more expensive usually.

ProfessorGrammaticus · 05/10/2007 19:15

Right then, no p*ssing about with Kew on monday - we're going straight to Jigsaw. I need something to wear with flat black lace up knee high boots and grey tights - hope I'll find something

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:16

www.jigsaw-online.com/season/index_womens.php

This is how crap the website is. That lady is wearing the dress I want.

But you can't see it.

Also the gnomes! Wtf is that all about?

OP posts:
florenceuk · 05/10/2007 19:16

Yes I love Jigsaw. But expensive - definitely more than Boden, somewhere between Boden and Reiss I guess. I think with the Kew line they upped their prices to differentiate. Unfortunately (or maybe not!) their jackets don't fit me - cut for a more bosomy shape with a waist. Their knitwear is great though £90 for a cardy is a lot.

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:17

Oh dear, didn't link properly. Is box number ten.

OP posts:
ProfessorGrammaticus · 05/10/2007 19:18

Blooming arty photos. Maybe the washed velvet button front skirt for me? Didn't see any gnomes though - they weren't in shopping trolleys were they?

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 19:19

I thought there were more tops than bottoms PG. Oh there were the tabard dresses, and some rather lovely velvety skirts though. I can't remember. Was like a sugar rush.

OP posts:
ProfessorGrammaticus · 05/10/2007 19:19

Quite like the plastic sheep though...
