The Divorce Make-Over?

Did any of you change your image after getting divorced?

I’m thinking of cleaning up my diet, losing about a stone & getting a new haircut & lifestyle (a healthier one - I comfort ate a lot in my marriage).

Did any of you do that?

I lost a lot of weight during the divorce because of the stress, actually I think for me I lost a bit too much. So I kept getting comments about it, ie are you ill etc. My comeback line when asked why much weight I'd lost was to say 100kg and 90kg of that was husband. Things did get better and I started to feel more confident and after a while I started to get nice comments. I only realised how much better I really looked when I looked back in oldish photos. I had changed a lot without even realizing it. I didn't drink a drop of alcohol for over a year. It's something I felt quite strongly about as he had a bit of a drinking problem. I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. Also the stress flared my ibs up so I stopped eating wheat and dairy and I just felt healthier. Then I even shocked myself as I'm no gym goer and signed up for a boot camp class. I think this was the one thing that helped me above anything else. It helped with sorting out my mind for some reason and I was starting to get quite fit. I had to stop due to DC exta murals time changing but as soon as the covid thing is over I will start again. So it all happened gradually but a few years on now I look and feel so much better than I did while going through the end days of my marriage. I didn't purposely go out and have a make over, it was more of a gradual change.
