Natural deodorant...

I have just started using Nuud. Please tell me if this will work. Right now my arm pits are smelling like the arse end of Satan. Apparently there is an adjustment period of around 2 weeks. I can deal with that but only if there is a genuine chance of it working. I have read all sorts of shit stuff about the adjustment period and clearing out of toxins. I don't buy any of that but I have also read that as regular antiperspirant/deos block the pores to reduce sweating, there is a period of time required for these to completely unblock and for the Nuud deo to be able to properly perform. Anyone have any knowledge or advice?

.....also, if I am getting some odour (week 2 now) can I layer say Nuud over Pitrok? To double up the antibacterial aspect of the product?Nuud uses micro silver, Pitrok uses salts. Can I use together? Would it make any difference?

It took me a while to get used to natural deodorant too - you should try the underarm detox bar which helps with the transition period. I get all my stuff from Life Before Plastik. They actually did a IGTV video on their instagram recently about different types of natural deodorant which is really helpful!

How are you getting on OP? Through the transition period yet?

I couldn't get Nuud to work for me and have tried loads of others with no luck. Eventually found Native. No adjustment period, it just works. Smells gorgeous. Since using it, I have no issues of not smelling fresh, even when working in my physical job in the summer.

My husband had gone back to normal deodorant as he couldn't find any that worked. He tried the Native and loves it too.

It's working for my daughter as well.

It's a solid deodorant in a push up holder which I much prefer to creams as well.

It's from America but postage is free and you can get a discount if you sign up for a subscription which you can change or cancel at any time. I find they last ages and so really quite reasonably priced compared to some of the other natural deodorants I've tried.

I probably sound a bit over enthusiastic but I have literally tried double figures of natural deodorants and had just about given up when I found Native and have been so happy to find something that smells lovely and works!!

I use roll on salt of the earth finding really great.
Had a problem with a cyst from normal deodorant under my armpit about a year ago and looked for an alternative.
Tried a few others but this one suited and worked for me best.
I think everyone is different unfortunately it's a bit of trial and error with natural deodorant I think.

UPDATE

So it has been nearly 3 weeks. It is totally weird. I have days were Idonot smell.....so, so unexpected. I have also just done an hour vigorous workout and zero smell. But I am finding that by the end of the day, I do smell. Definitely overnight I smell so by morning I am a bit stinky poo BO.

So at the moment I am definitely surprised by the days where I do not smell but have not got to the point where I can rely on it everyday. Nor could Ipossibly go more than one day without a fresh application.

Ishall carry on and see if becomes more consistently reliable.

Luckily, I am still not mingling with other people much so break through smell is not a worry. Also my husband is not icked out by anything Grin
