What do you wear on your feet, around the house, in summer.

I've never realised it before but maybe I have some sensory issues Grin I really hate bare feet, I'm not over keen on sandals and really can't wear anything with a toe post.

In winter, I wear lovely sheepskin booties, then I have lighter weight ballet pump style slippers, but they're still "cosy" and too warm for days like today. What do you wear if flip flops are out of the question?

@MrsMaryBOOface

They are super comfy! I get blisters very easily (even from winter slippers), but this has never been a problem with the ballet shoes. I don't tie the little strings tightly, so they are easy to get on and off. I get them in black so they don't look mucky (although the sole is white so that does show up the dirt). They are pretty reasonable too - from memory they are about £8.

I'm afraid the photo isn't very exciting- they really are just ballet shoes!

I always have a pair of 'inside' flip flops for the summer. I love the feeling of bare feet upstairs in our house where it's carpeted but hate the feel downstairs on hard floors Grin

I tend to wear socks or sheepskin slippers as my feet get cold. I can't wear anything with a toe post (makes me feel sick for some reason) and I'm forever tripping up with sliders.

Illegally18 · 19/05/2020 23:08

Bloch ballet shoes in the style, paris, with a little heel

GreyHare · 19/05/2020 23:40

Nothing, I love going barefoot and rarely wear socks or slippers in the winter too.

Buggedandconfused · 19/05/2020 23:42

Flip flops

MsJuniper · 19/05/2020 23:54

I usually wear slippers but have been wearing Toms to wfh during lockdown as I felt more "dressed"! They are super comfy now I've worn them in and very light.

scrivette · 20/05/2020 00:39

I also wear ballet shoes from the dance shop (you can get them on Amazon too) although am currently still in my lovely warm White Company slippers that are full of holes but I can't bear to throw away!

PickAChew · 20/05/2020 00:43

Crocs. The stop my feet from rolling in.

notangelinajolie · 20/05/2020 00:47

Always socks. All seasons - I don't like walking round the house in bare feet.

caringcarer · 20/05/2020 02:12

Sandals or slippers.

MrsMaryBOOface · 20/05/2020 04:35

@Candlesonthetable I love them! Thanks Grin

eaglejulesk · 20/05/2020 04:54

Bare feet

eaglejulesk · 20/05/2020 04:54

Whoops - forgot to add, outside as well

WomanIsTaken · 20/05/2020 04:58

Toms?
For the record, I'm either barefoot or in sheepskin slippers.

Peridot1 · 20/05/2020 05:01

Fitflops. Currently a pair without toe posts although they don’t bother me.

I can’t wear completely flat flip flops or ballet type shoes as am prone to plantar fasciitis so need arch support. I find Fitflops very supportive and they do some that look very similar to Haivanas.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 20/05/2020 14:28

Bare feet, Birkenstocks if I need to pop out to the bins or something.

Pipandmum · 20/05/2020 14:30

Slippers. Or my slip on sandals if slippers are too warm.

Baaaahhhhh · 20/05/2020 14:38

I'm barefoot winter and summer. Wear flop flops in the garden and kick them off to come inside. Nothing nicer than cool tiles or wood on your feet when it is hot outside.

MsAwesomeDragon · 20/05/2020 14:46

I'm bare foot most of the time at home, but do have crocs for going into the garden. Dh has sliders for going in the garden, and is also barefoot in the house. We're a family of sensory issues, but ours go the other way, we hate the feeling of our feet being constrained in shoes, so we're barefoot as often as possible.

Sgtmajormummy · 20/05/2020 14:48

Dr Scholl Pescura. No toe post, smooth wooden footbed and they really do help tone up your calves.
Not good if you have neighbours downstairs, though... clop cloppity clop!

Comefromaway · 20/05/2020 14:50

Slip on shoes.

Wannabegreenfingers · 20/05/2020 14:52

Nothing, I can't stand shoes or socks my feet feel suffocated!

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 20/05/2020 15:02

DH has inside sliders. I tend to go barefoot but as I run colder than most people those times when it's slightly too warm to wear socks/slippers but too cold to wear nothing I often wear some wicking socks. Not quite as slidey as normal socks and breathe a bit more.
