Gentle cleanser to remove make up?

Please can you give me your cleanser recommendations that removes make up for blemish prone, combination skin? I use to use wipes to remove my make up but was told they are bad for your skin so stopped using them. I’m currently using a sample of Clinique take the day off balm but I can’t decide whether it’s for me or not.

I use the blue Nivea two tone eye makeup remover for eyes, then some miceller water on a cotton pad to remove makeup from the rest of the face. Then wash with either the pink Super Facialist scrub cleanser, or Garner micellar cleanser gel wash for combination skin with a small loofah sponge.

Cetaphil gentle cleanser (not the one for oily skin) recommended to me by a dermatologist. In Boots.

@QuirkyUsernameHere - Camomile broke me out, i know lots of people rave about it but I can’t use it.

Miceller water is a good one forgot about that.

@ProfessorPollington got it & didn’t like it believe it not, it didn’t help my skin for the better at all. Sad

Clinique balm is great for a first cleanse the you can use something lighter or even a face wash for second cleanse and remove with a flannel

I've had terrible break outs in the past and found caudalie foaming cleanser really made a difference without drying or irritating my skin www.lookfantastic.com/caudalie-instant-foaming-cleanser-150ml/10727688.html

Ahh okay!

Thayers witch hazel toner is really good too! eBay about £12 x

Pinkflipflop85 · 05/05/2020 23:00

I use micellar water.

QuantumEntanglement · 05/05/2020 23:05

I use micellar water soaked cotton pads to take the make up off then rinse with lukewarm water.

Squalene oil cleanser by The Ordinary. Great for make up removal. You do need to follow this up with another cleanser though. I just use a Lidl 3 in 1 sensitive foam cleanser.

I have tried soooooo many things, cheap to ridiculously expensive.

Have found my holy grail in micellar water.

Once a week I use a Clinique wash and the rest of the time the ridiculously easy to use and non expensive micellar water. I wish I found it years ago.

I use face halo. It's a sponge rather than cleanser. All you need is water and it removes all the make up even mascara. Need to give it a quick wash with soap and hot water after each use. You can get it on Amazon or Boots.

MrsW85 · 06/05/2020 08:11

Soap and glory peaches and clean cleanser is lovely

QuirkyUsernameHere · 06/05/2020 09:15

Micellar water is meant to be quite bad for your skin Apparantly, it's not meant to be as good for it as people make out

Merryoldgoat · 06/05/2020 09:19

I like Superfacialist Vitamin C Cleansing Oil.

Also Beauty Pie Japanfusion

Thinkle · 06/05/2020 09:21

Lush ultrabland followed by Pixi glow. It’s completely counterintuitive to use something oily on spot prone skin but it works well for me. The two together = happy skin and no breakouts for me. But obviously it’s personal.

cptartapp · 06/05/2020 09:23

Nivea 2 in 1 cleanser/toner or Superdrug vitamin E hot cloth cleanser. Both cheap too.

224as · 06/05/2020 09:26

I use Simple micellar water, the oil be gone version for blemish prone/oily skin to take off my makeup then I follow with beautypie jeju cleanser or Elemis cleansing balm

Deathraystare · 06/05/2020 09:35

There is a micellar water for oily skin (my friend got it for me by mistake! I use it on the t Zone sometimes.

Tinks15 · 06/05/2020 09:59

Thanks everyone I just want something that removes make up & eye make up then I will follow on with the cleanser I’ve got from face theory that I like.

Everything I try before seems to clog my skin. I don’t really want to spend lots of money either.

Ponds Cold Cream. I'm very allergic to products and my skin is easily irritated. Ponds is lovely and leaves your skin nice and soft and I don't react at all.

FatimaLovesBread · 06/05/2020 10:16

Squalene cleanser from The Ordinary

Terralee · 06/05/2020 10:21

Simple cleansing lotion

sarahc336 · 06/05/2020 10:23

Any brand of micella water seems to work really well, the nivea and garnia ones seem to work well and aren't overly pricey cx
