It's sad how many people on the thread think that they are unattractive. I don't want to feel fat and frumpy and my family have made me feel even worse.

THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!

How can we feel good about ourselves? If you have any tips, absolutely anything that has made you feel better about yourself, then please share here!

I always wear nice matching underwear which makes me feel good.
I wear my favourite clothes - don't save them for special occasions. You will feel good wearing them. Maybe not formalwear to Tesco tho!
Take care of your clothes, make sure they are clean and ironed. You don't need to buy expensive designer gear, just make sure they suit your body shape and fit properly.
I wouldn't go out in a tracksuit unless I was going to the gym - never going to happen!!!
A bit of make up.
Brushed hair.
Finally a biggy for me - clean shoes. Scruffy scuffed or dirty shoes look awful and say I don't care! IMO

Definitely get your eyelashes dyed if they are fair.

I've just started doing this and it's changed my life. I look half decent without makeup for the first time ever.

The other thing is, do your hair in the evenings. You have more time to play with it and make it nice than in the mornings. Then just brush it/run straighteners through it when you get up.

Find out which colours suit you (colour me beautiful has a website that tells you what season you are) and even if you just buy a scarf/pashmina in that colour you can whack it on and look like you've made an effort.

Clarin's beauty flash balm and benefit boing concealer. The pink eye highlighter is good too. A bit of blusher and lipgloss, bob's your uncle. Keep a lipgloss in the car so you can put it on at traffic lights.

Costume jewellery and cardigans in bright colours. Get a few white tshirts, some bright cardies and you'll always have something to throw on with jeans.

And if it's any consolation, I'm 5ft 7 and trying to get back down to your weight. You are about a stone lighter than me and I don't feel particularly huge as a size 12-14.

A bit of perfume makes you feel good, too.

You just need to love yourself a bit

Oh, i love this thread, some great tips.
I make sure I only buy clothes that suit my shape, so there is no way i can put on something hideous cos everything ive got is 'ok'.
This does mean that I can go a year or so without buying anything new, as I am very picky, it has worked out over the years though, obviously I take care of the clothes i've got, although my fav jeans now have a big rip across the knee, although they are at least 5 years old .
I always make sure my eyebrows are plucked, if you do it regularly its very easy to maintain (plus not much left after years of waxing).
I also love getting acrylic nails (i know some of you hate them), it means that I don't need to think about filing or painting them and they always look good (in my opinion).
Oh and I always tint my eyelashes at home, you can get the starter kit out of salon services and it lasts for a couple of years (was £15 when I bought it about 7 years ago, still using it). I was trained to do this though, so follow instructions very carefully if you try it!
Think thats about it, apart from always having a quick shower in morning and running over hair with straightners and some eyeliner makes me feel ready to face the world!
Oh and most important is a big smile

Don't wear or buy clothes that are a bit tight. Only wear clothes that either fit perfectly, or are a tiny weeny bit on the loose side. Guaranteed to feel thin and sexy.

Eyelash curlers.

Stand up straight, shoulders back.
