What do you wear on bottom half during nice weather?

Shorts don’t really suit me & too hot in jeans. What do you wear in warm weather whilst stuck at home? I have lots of nice tops but nothing to wear them with.

Tight stretchy knee length skirts, knee length shorts or 'pedal pushers' (ugh)

You have to be careful with the lengths though, as the wrong cut off can make me look chubbier.

Like a pp, I struggle with tops more : I HATE my upper arms, refuse to wear vests as I have unsightly bingo wings. I wear a lot of longer sleeved tshirts and short sleeved cotton shirts

Denim shorts, denim skirt (mini and midi), khaki chino type shorts, midi skirts (lots of lovely patterns!) and a few maxi wrap skirts

During lockdown in your own garden you might as well wear shorts as only your family will see you!

Erm, not if you have any neighbours with upstairs windows

I mean shorts are fine just wondering why you’d expect nobody else to see

Jersey cropped harem trousers from yours clothing, they don't have a big baggy bum like most harem pants just a little looser at the top and tapered at knee.

Peacocks usually have shrugs and short sleeved cardis

Lightweight jeggings, cropped jeans or jeggings or beach trousers (full or cropped). Shorts look rubbish on me too thanks to the thunder thighs!

A line knee length cotton skirts, usually with a print of some kind. It’s clearly not a fashion look but it’s not going to frighten the horses.

I’ve also got some beige linen trousers. They are properly hideous but who cares, I’m only skinning round the house.

Dresses, or midi skirts with t-shirts. It’s barely double figures here in Scotland, so I can’t imagine digging those out for a while - v jealous of people with hot weather!

Summer dresses, often no knickers. I love my summer dresses, they are comfy and timeless. Otherwise loose skirts. I’m not a fan of shorts and tend not to wear jeans/trousers or leggings when it’s warm. Maybe white trousers in the evenings though.

I wear a denim skirt or shorts - it doesn't matter what they look like if you are at home.

Lightweight cotton pj bottoms, I have some that I bought just to wear in the day and then some shorts for sleeping in.
To be honest im not really wearing 'proper' outside cloths, if that makes sense? More lounge wear type stuff really, try M&S online they have a nice range.

Linen trousers or linen shorts. Cropped trousers.

For work I wear skirts or "Meghan Everyday Cigarette Pants" which you can get from various online companies. They just fit me really well and aren't too hot.

Cotton Traders are good for a wide variety of cropped trousers and shorts etc.

@ClientQ yes they look like just what I’m after thanks. What is the sizing like? I’m 5’3” and generally a 12 - wondering if I should go for the short version?

@Littlemiss74 they're fairly standard M&S sizing - tricky on length as I'm 5ft 10 Grin so always have to go for tall. Might be worth having a look at the reviews as people usually mention length

I should add they do a plain version as well if you search peg trousers (why don't M&S put all the same style together on the site?!)

I always wear these sort of trousers during summer. I'm a teacher and these look smart for work or for relaxing during the holidays. I have lots of different pairs in different patterns and pair them with a plain top. Asda also do some good ones. I'm the same height as you but a size 16.

Lots of dresses, a few midi skirts and a maxi skirt occasionally. I don’t wear trousers in summer and I hate shorts. Footwear wise, I tend to wear pale coloured, minimalist trainers with some dresses or closed toe sandals. I wear flips flops if I’m just around the house/not going far.

I hate the lower half of my legs so much so I live in leggings. I'm always too hot Blush I also wear maxi dresses a lot, with Snag chub rub shorts underneath.

@Gallade what are Snag chub rub shorts & where can I get some. Just posted that I've got bad soreness & blisters after a long walk in a dress. I should have worn actual shorts.
But are the Snag chub rub shorts something you can wear under a short dress?
