I started dry skin brushing beginning of January.

Every day, before a shower no matter how much of a rush I was in. Promised not to look till dhs birthday.

First two months, nothing. Bum didn’t feel any different at all but no peeking so I carried on.

In the last two weeks bum felt smoother.

Finally looked at the weekend and I’ve got two small dimples on the left bum cheek. Small enough that if I walked past Daniel Craig in a tiny bikini I would not be embarrassed.

Front and back of thighs cellulite free. Inner thigh still a bit textured but I’ll carry on & see if it goes.

I can wear my short shorts outside the garden now if I want to with no fear.

Oooh tell me more, I’ve never heard of this but it sounds great!

Lifeaback · 30/03/2020 15:02

Interesting- I started this last year but gave up after not seeing results after a few weeks. I might dig it out and give it another go!

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 15:03

It’s just a bristle body brush, you work up in longish strokes from your feet to your waist.

You can do arms as well but stay away from boobs. Can’t imagine brushed boobs feels nice.

Do you have to press hard? Like soft brush strokes or do you press hard enough for it to be uncomfortable? Well done on your results!

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 15:10

I’d say firm strokes but not painful. It shouldn’t be sore.

Now, if anyone knows how to get rid of the thread veins on my thighs my mother said I’d get crossing my legs that would be marvellous 🤔

WellTidy · 30/03/2020 15:12

Impressive! What do you use to dry skin brush and how long do you spend on it please?

puds11 · 30/03/2020 15:13

@Fluffycloudland77 I’m afraid I think body brushing makes thread veins worse. I’m pretty sure it says to avoid this if you have thread or varicose veins. I could be wrong though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 15:19

Boots eco tools body brush, that’s the one I use. I can’t link because there an hours queue for the website.

Yes, I think brushing makes veins worse. I go lightly on those areas which luckily are on the front of my thigh.

I’ve been using the ordinary vit c powder mixed into my daily sunblock and again at night in my mosturiser and the small vein by my nose is so much better already. It looks smaller. My mother had hers done but several more cropped up so I’m not touching my face with anything invasive.

My next step is grinding up bulk bought vit c powder to put into my body lotion. It’s not fine enough when you buy it in bulk so I need a pestle and mortar.

Also I need to tone up a bit.

You sold this to me with the thought of being able to walk past Daniel Craig in a tiny bikini and not be embarrassed!

florriepeck · 30/03/2020 15:39

Yes, I think the body brushing has helped my cellulite; it does have to be done religiously, every day.
A Skin Doctors cream has improved the thread/ spider veins on front of my thigh and on cheeks; not disappeared, but much improved: think cosmetic treatment would be needed to get rid of them completely.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 15:50

@Woodlandtrain

I should work in marketing. Dh said the police is my true calling though.

There’s a pub near Solihull where every so often you hear rumours Daniel Craig has been in there for a drink because he’s buying a house there. Loads of women rush down there.

He lives in New York, do people really think he’s moving to the midlands?. I’m sure the land lord starts it to shift Prosecco.

Link to the skin doctor cream?.

Body brushing is the only thing that’s been scientifically proven to work, with the one proviso that you need to do it daily for a long time!

chilimartini · 30/03/2020 15:54

OP thanks for sharing! How long do you body brush for? X

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 15:58

Not long, few minutes each leg then a minute or so on the bum?.

Will time it tm.

I often forget to put the heating on in the bathroom first thing and it’s fucking freezing first thing. So you don’t want to be there ages fannying about with a miniature yard brush.

Just to derail your thread @Fluffycloudland77 , how do you find the vit c powder? Does it pill? I've been looking for one that doesn't and haven't been having much luck!

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 30/03/2020 16:06

I've just ordered one. I'll give it a try, got time to do it all day now 😂

puds11 · 30/03/2020 16:06

@florriepeck do you have a link for the cream?

Checkyspeck · 30/03/2020 16:11

Body brushing felt like some sort of war-time torture when I tried it! I did notice the little bumps(hair follicles?) on the backs of my thighs start to decrease though.
Tell me more about this vit c powder... what’s it for? I swear by the ordinary stuff!

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 16:16

If you look on eBay they do big bags of powdered vit c for body builders I think that you can grind down to make it super fine like the ordinary one if you have a pestle and mortar.

I need a pestle and mortar though. It’s meant to increase collagen levels in the skin and stop age spots. Also it’s an antioxidant so it should stop the aging effects of pollution.

Checkyspeck · 30/03/2020 16:31

Cool. Thanks. I get Botox to get shut of the pesky aging evidence!
I’ll have a look for the powder.

diddl · 30/03/2020 16:37

Is that the brush that's £4,99 in Boots?

And £12 on Amazon??

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2020 17:42

I can’t actually see it on boots, it was an hours waiting time just to get onto the website.

OP posts:
diddl · 30/03/2020 18:00

I just managed to get onto the Boots website straight away!

Looks like slightly different packaging-both say cruelty free bristles & have the number 7425 on.

Think they're the same!

Looks like I'll wait until next over in UK!

AutumnRose1 · 30/03/2020 18:02

You didn’t say how your skin was before?

diddl · 30/03/2020 18:03
