Alternatives to bras

Can anyone recommend something as I am sick of my bras. I have one non wired and the rest wired but I don't feel they fit properly and I can't bare to have to get fitted. There must be something soft. Help, please. Thank you.

I wear a vest style bra when not at work. Pretty comfy. Just saw Triumph are doing a new bralette style one which is the same idea but apparently more supportive

Uniqlo do nice comfy crop top style bras.

Molke. Look up the buy / sell Molke group on Facebook- lots on sale nearly new etc. Use the Molke website to get your size first.

What size are you? I think the recommendations will differ depending on whether you are large or small busted.

If you were fitted properly they wouldn't be uncomfortable. Molke are very loved on here, but they are hideous.

I think Molke bras are beautiful and really lovely to look at...! I think we all like different things.

I also have a couple of Molkes which are good but it can be tricky getting the right size even with the calculator. & they can be a faff to get on.

Get yourself to bravissimo. Can't recommend enough. Most women (can't remember the statistic) are wearing the wrong size bra and places like M&S will only size you in sizes they sell. I went from a 36D to a 30FF and they are so much comfier in the right size.

I had exactly this a few months ago OP and posted on here- I was suggested the supersoft crop tops from Sainsburys - and I can attest they are marvellous- supportive (I have big boobs) yet also so comfy

Molke - I know some think they are hideous. I love them!

I also had lots of people saying get fitted properly and they will be comfortable- I have done this before several times , and spent lots on nice bras but they never feel comfy , or they do at first, then they 'go' so I know your need for comfort!

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get measured if you are very small chested? M&S measured me as 32D but I genuinely am not filling out my bras at all. I have a very athletic body type and boobs just don't really feature since my body has changed.

Thank you all, especially @crochetmonkey74.. When I bought the bras I fitted myself correctly but I've had a change in weight and health and now they are driving me nuts. The only shop near to me where fitting is offered is M & S and no way will I go there for numerous reasons.

@Ginfordinner that just isn't the case. I am sure many of us have bought bars that felt and looked like they fit to discover they really weren't right.

Shops say replace every three months which is ridiculous but does anyone have a proven track record of how long their bras seem fine for and then suddenly aren't ?

I'm a G and I've never heard of Molke.

Marks and Spencer's always get snotty when I tell them a 34 will not fit when they are adamant I am a 34 but then we all know they are so out of touch with the best way to measure.

@crochetmonkey74 I've measured and looked at the Tu one but can't see how to translate the resultant size into whether I buy medium, large etc .

Also, the size I got from measuring as it said is nothing like the bra I am wearing .

I have just measured per Molke and for a differing size again !

You need to go to Bravissimo - they'll sort you out.

I'm a G and frankly there is no alternative to a well fitted wired bra if you want you boobs up where they should be

I've just had a look at Molke and, dear god, they are bloody ugly

I have been to Bravissimo and didn't find them good for me. Another fitter who tried to cut me in half with a too tight band size . Without a bra they don't droop at all but I need something for how I would feel without.

Save up all your bra money and get a lift/reduction/mastopexy and be bra free for the rest of your life.
Honestly the soft bralettes are the comfiest but that aside surgery was money much better spent than countless properly fitted bras. Which all felt like hell.

I only wear padded sports bras now. Am a 32f and buy a size large. Under armour do a great basic racer back bra in a few colours for under t shirts. I also have the nike indy (sp) bra as it goes really well under dresses. I find the shape really flattering of both of these styles.

Are bralettes supportive enough if you’re a d cup?
