Can anyone recommend something as I am sick of my bras. I have one non wired and the rest wired but I don't feel they fit properly and I can't bare to have to get fitted. There must be something soft. Help, please. Thank you.

Sunshine I am a 38DD/E (dress size 18- 20) I thought I would need an XL but in store I had a look and a stretch of the bra and took a risk with the L instead- and it's perfect- had it a few weeks now and I think I could have got the M as they do stretch out- but the white one I got- the L hasn't really stretched out and a M would have been too small. I think it is a case of looking at them in real life as the fabric is slightly different stretchiness between colours if you know what I mean

Try the Reddit A Bra That Fits guide to measuring yourself, here. It was spot on for me for Curvy Kate bras.

Are bralettes supportive enough if you’re a d cup?

The M+ S ones are the DD+ range.

I've heard good things about the Triumph Fit Smart. The mind boggles as to how just four sizes will meet everyone's needs, though.

lentenwonder · 05/03/2020 17:28

replacing your bras every 3 months? Who does that? Maybe every 5 years! Sainsbury's crops are v comfy I agree.

I couldn't care less what Molke bras look like....they are so comfortable and supportive for a G cup and that's all that matters!
(I've had years of underwire digging in till I bleed, neck problems due to straps digging in to my shoulders, welts under my boobs due to the underwiring)

M&S do Supersoft Post Surgery Bras that are very comfortable. I never consult people in shops about size as different brands are different anyway. I just bring in a few different band/cup sizes to try until one is comfortable then get it in as many colours as it comes in.
*The Post Surgery part is that there is a pocket to insert a form into if you've had mastectomy/lumpectomy. But can be ignored if you haven't.

Thank you all. I've just measured myself with clothes off so will get another starting size. Last time I got a bra that fit I was 36G/GG but I measure 33-34 underneath and if I bought a T-shirt I'd be getting a 12. I've lost two stone since I last bought bras but my breasts haven't shrunk hugely.

Must agree - hideous!!!!!

Different strokes for different folks...I love them!

Is there a cotton brallete or crop for big boobs anywhere?

Iv got one years ago from bhs but everywhere seems to only do polyester or other sweat inducing fabrics!

FurrySlipperBoots · 07/03/2020 12:55

Is there such a thing as a comfy bralette that gives a boost size wise? I'm an A cup, which would be fine if I was svelte all over but I'm massively pear shaped so anything that helps to balance that out is good. I have padded and gel bras but none of them fit properly, and they're all so uncomfortable.

KatharinaRosalie · 07/03/2020 12:57

furry have you measured yourself recently? Often you need a different size, if you can't get a single bra to fit.
Ginky Molke is cotton

borntobequiet · 07/03/2020 14:17

Sainsbury’s do a cotton “plunge” bra which is very soft and comfortable with no wires. Their sizing seems to match Triumph.
