I no longer listen when people tell women to 'be nice.' Being nice has got us into all kinds of shit. If you're a Hollywood actress then your career depends on how you look - impossible to discuss any of them without talking about that and about how they maintain those looks.

Aniston appears to be doing what pretty much every middle aged movie actress does to her face. I'd rather she didn't; I understand why she does. In any case, I think the way she looks is probably the least interesting thing about her.

Why not, we’re being fed a lie, photoshop, airbrushing, botox.....all the money in the world to look good. It’s Hollywood that sets such store on looks, and basically tells us that’s how women should look. Half the time we think someone’s beautiful because we’re told they are. But it’s unattainable, a lie. Let’s have some bloody honesty ffs.

It totally makes sense that surgeons have their own style. Just like you can spot a Bob Ross painting or a Picasso a mile off.

I think Jen looks great, if I didn’t think she did, I wouldn’t feel the need to pick her apart, parts of this thread are disgusting.

AudacityofHope If a thread had been started purposely to pull a woman celeb apart I’d agree with you. It wasn’t, it was about whether we thought JA looked wonderful..... Many of us don’t think so and we’re explaining the reasons why. Or should we just say “no” and not explain why. Either that or we all follow like sheep and gush about her.

Some people are easily depressed. Why should we all agree, we’ve been asked opinions ffs.

My friend had one of those "free" photoshoots where you get stung for the prints. She joked that if she ever went missing the media should use those pictures although she accepted she would never be found as they looked nothing like her!

Why bother having a photo shoot of your everyday self?

It's perfectly possible to have opinions about people and not air them in public in a way that's likely to make them feel like shit on the bottom of your shoe.

At the end of the day this amazing photo shoot was to klaxon that although Jen is 50 she can look much younger through a camera lens.
She's at an age when there are fewer roles available and those that are out there have a very large pool of actresses fighting for them.
That's the reason I bet she did this- get some column inches and remind everyone that I look younger than I really am!

I'm in my 50s, look better than her and don't need money, good lighting, fillers and Botox. Lots of women in their 50s look fucking amazing without help
I don't understand why people are so amazed by how a woman looks in her 50s. As though 50 is some sort of cliff edge, once you're over it you wrinkle up and look half dead.

I think she looks great, and if this is part of the audition. then the producer should trust their instincts and give her the role. Women who are past the ingenue age should fight hard for theit position in fillms. We hold up 50% of the world.
