Where do you buy your knickers?

Long posting history, definitely not a pervy troll Smile

I usually buy from M&S but fancy a change. I'm looking for bikini style cotton knickers that are comfortable and dont cut your bum cheeks in half. Thanks!

Sloggi - where ever they are the cheapest at the time . JL , amazon any where .

endofthelinefinally · 18/01/2020 07:57

That is good to hear StarlightLady.

I do prefer single sex facilities myself. Having read what certain men like to do in changing rooms when trying on lingerie. Everyone is different I suppose.

sandgrown · 18/01/2020 08:05

I buy from M&S though I think the quality has gone downhill. I have tried Sainsburys but the sizing seems small.

StarlightLady · 18/01/2020 08:12

@endofthelinefinally - But surely that is a different and larger problem than single sex changing rooms.

I’m old enough to remember when lots of changing rooms were single sex but communal. A big issue with your handbag etc when hunting for a free mirror, which was never near your peg.

delilahbucket · 18/01/2020 08:13

Used to always go to M&S but my last lot came from Tesco and they are excellent.

kmini · 18/01/2020 08:14

Intimissini

Yes, StarlightLady. It is a huge and increasing problem. IMO, encouraging it by making previously single sex spaces into mixed sex doesn't help.
Not all facilities have the floor to ceiling lockable doors and vigilant staff.
A survey was carried out last year and published in the Sunday Times that showed that incidents of secret filming and sexual assault on women and children increase by around 64% in mixed sex facilities. The UN campaigns for single sex spaces in, for example, refugee camps, for this reason.
That said, some people are comfortable with this arrangement. I think there should be a choice, as many women feel vulnerable in mixed sex spaces where they will be undressed.
Anyway, I do not want to derail the thread. I was responding to a pp who could not understand why some women do not buy their knickers in M&S.

I won't buy anything from M and S as I don't agree with the changing room policy.

XingMing · 18/01/2020 12:33

Usually Tesco. I like their boy shorts without side seams.

Shockers · 18/01/2020 12:39

I’m going knickerless at the moment because I have shingles where the elastic sits.

I’m rather enjoying it...

greenlavender · 18/01/2020 12:56

M&S

'I won't buy anything from M and S as I don't agree with the changing room policy.'

I hear you

For those saying M&S are you genuinely not bothered that they might have been tried on by men for kicks?

The men’s reviews of lingerie on their website left me speechless - it’s no longer about the principle of changing rooms for me, but the fact that M&S is obviously a magnet for pervy blokes. Shudder.

endofthelinefinally · 18/01/2020 14:01

I know Hermione. The descriptions of how they put the knickers back in the middle of the rack to hide the wet patch really turned my stomach.
But plenty of women seem to be ok with it.

slipperyeel · 18/01/2020 14:10

Uniqlo or muji

Itsagrandoldteam · 18/01/2020 14:15

Sainsburys

twosoups1972 · 18/01/2020 14:47

Recently discovered microfibre seamless knickers from Boux Avenue, they're great.

ouch321 · 18/01/2020 14:53

Plain white in a multi-pack from Debenhams for THAT week of the month, just in case.

Learnt my lesson, as a result of random leaks, from having to throw out knickers on several occasions that cost £10-£15 as part of a matching set which then makes the bra kind of redundant so it was like losing £40.
Another ridiculous 'cost' of the hated monthlies!

For the rest of the month, pretty matching sets from Boux.

Strategicchoring · 18/01/2020 14:55

Microfibre?

Can you use them for dusting too?

bingohandjob · 18/01/2020 15:18

John Lewis for day to day (after M&S quality went down the pan) and Savage by Fenty for very lovely ones and sets. They do some great styles and colours.

MinkowskisButterfly · 18/01/2020 15:21

Primark

Ofthread · 18/01/2020 15:23

H&M, but good luck navigating the racks of thousands of different knickers all jumbled up.

MCBerberLoop · 18/01/2020 15:26

Just bought loads from aerie in the states after seeing so many great reviews on USA forums. (Owned by American eagle) $95 + £24 customs for ten pairs pants and three bras which are super comfy.
