she's a beautiful girl but this is just sad.

The first picture is awful. She does look ill in it, but not so bad in he other shots.

But she hasn't always been this thin at all. She used to be quite cury IIRC.

She looks much worse in that first link photo in that dress than she does, in photos wearing same dress, on one of later links.

she is clearly anorexic. I was always naturally thin and occasionally accused of being anorexic, but you can tell. Look at her hands, her chin and her neck; her bones are too big for the amount of flesh she has

OK, I think first photo over-emphasises her shape, particularly her head. She just looks normally skinny in the other pictures. I came across the image by chance and was initially saddened. If she's anything like my skinny family she probably eats like a bear.

And when I say "like a bear" I mean she eats a lot and not that she breaks into cars to steal picnic baskets. Although that's entirely possible and she is free to make that choice.

she is v. flat-chested and has a bony chest (like me!except about 1000x better looking obviously)

She always looks thinner side on - she is very slim, but front on she has much more shape - much more of a 'hip'.

I really don't think she looks anorexic at all - her eyes don't have that gaunt look.

She may not be anorexic however I do think she probably controls her food just a little bit too much. Being that thin is very rarely completely a natural shape - she is thinner than normal if the photos are to be believed, and isn't the TV etc supposed to make people look bigger than they really are anyway?

I saw one a while back which made me instantly think that she looked like she had a problem

she is such a beautiful girl but definitely has that lollipop head look going on, i do think theat she might be thinking of that saying..."you can never be too thin or too rich" if I have got it right

I have at least two non-anorexic friends as thin as keira...

She has a figure like my brother's girlfriend - who practically lives in the fridge. If she was anorexic her legs would be showing it and they're not, they're nice legs.

maybe she isn't anorexic, but she seems to be following the hollywood lead now that to act you have to be stick thin and stay that way.

she's an actress not a model. and bland at that

Wilkie - that may be what some people with eating disrders look like, but not all. Some do not look that extreme and some never get to that stage. Doesn't mean they aren't suffering from some form of problem however.

I have no idea about Keira Knightley. I personally thing some of these photos make her look dreadfully thin though.

i think dress makes her look thinner and shes like me,thinner on top than on bottom,no boobs so looks thinner still-and i do not have eating disorder,just naturally thin.

Hula - I agree. It just makes me a little cross that people will accuse someone of being anorexic but would think twice before accusing someone of being fat and overweight.

I can't see that she looks any different to how she normally does. She has always looked scarily thin in some shots and more filled out in others.

She looked all wrong on that wet-nightie clip from Atonement they showed on BBC news last night - not how I'd imagined the girl from the book to look at all.

Mind you, her name is Briony, which is my middle name, so I'd imagined her to be pleasantly chunky, like me .

I think she prolly is naturally thin. ime people who are unhealthily thin usually have very skeletal drawn in faces, her face doesn't look like that.

just as an aside.... recently KK and actor bf stayed in a holiday cottage of a friend of a friend. He had no idea who she was and when she asked for recommendations for somewhere to eat he said "you could try xxx, you get famous people going there so if you're lucky you might see Richard and Judy". His teenage daughter who had recognised her and was trying to be cool was suitably mortified.....

she really can't act and I'm wont be going to see Atonement. The book is fab and I'm not having wooden chops ruin it for me.

She is very pretty, very thin and a truly awful actress.
