Nbg - Those are wonderfully high I must go shoe shopping again

JackieNo · 18/08/2007 22:10

I quite like these too.

NomDePlumeIsAShoeWhore · 18/08/2007 22:24

This thread has inspired me to wear a pair of heels tomorrow.

Having a DH who is only 2.5 inches taller than you does rather put the kybosh on heels.

BUGGER

I am only 5ft 1 too and wearing heels is an absolute NECESSITY! People generally think I am much taller than I am - I don't think anyone has seen me in flat shoes (well, except at the gym).

The suggestion about wedges is a good one - very very comfortable and a good way to get used to wearing heels.

NomDePlumeIsAShoeWhore · 18/08/2007 22:36

Church-shmurch

[heathen emoticon]

Dh is 5ft 9.5in

but do they have Good Shoes

(n.b. i actually mistyped 'Godd shoes')

MrsTittleMouse · 18/08/2007 22:46

Ooo! Shoes. [dreamy emoticon]
I really really really want these shoes and they are in the sale. But I don't have thirty quid, I have nothing to wear them with, and I spend my days looking after DD (10 months). Sigh.
Do you think if I'm really really really good, Father Christmas will bring me these boots?

expatinscotland · 18/08/2007 22:47

Just wear Crocs.

Or hiking boots.

wearing no heels hurt me for ages - took a long time to get used to it

i love heels

try wedges

Nbg · 19/08/2007 09:12

This is how bad I am, I have these but its not enough. I really want these too
and these
and these
and these
dont know when I'd wear them but I love them
if I worked in an office, I'd buy these
now I'm just being deluded
[sigh]

bumperlicious · 19/08/2007 09:37

NBG you have those boots?! I would have to sell DD to buy shoes at that price

Erm, anyone want to buy a beautiful 8 week old baby girl? Or swap her for a pair of red patent courts...?

Nbg · 19/08/2007 09:39

Oh I did not pay that price

Cappuccino · 19/08/2007 09:43

oh for heaven's sake

I come on here and mp has posted a reasonable question about making the change

and escapefrom makes a good point about starting low with wedges

and then everyone piles in with links to massive skyscraper heels which is NO USE AT ALL

signed

...another short stumpy woman who really wanted to know the answer to mp's question

bumperlicious · 19/08/2007 09:44

Ah, well that's good. I nearly broke out in a case of serious shoe envy there!

Cappuccino · 19/08/2007 09:45

and Nbg is that a welly?

Capuccino - the answer is heels do hurt! I don't think I have had a pair that haven't at some point! You just have to get used to them, or, carry a pair of flatties in your bag for when the situation gets dire. Also, I guess the people who can afford expensive heels can also afford taxis

I reiterate my vote for the M&S mules that I linked below - a good starting point I think.
