Holiday eyelashes - advice please!

I’m 38 have never had eyelashes extended or permed etc. but think I’d like it for holiday this summer. I’m blonde and my eyelashes and brows are basically invisible when they’re make-up free.

I really don’t like the big eye brow look nor do I want annoying long lashes particularly, especially if they start to come away and I’m left with bits here and there.

Any advice please for a first timer, what should I have and how much “should” it cost?

I had my eyelashes dyed many years ago and think it went wrong as one of my eyes stung and was red for days after..... please tell me this is a one off!

Oh that's good to know, Nigella, re: how your lashes stood up to steam, chlorine etc.

Good luck with yours! I bet they hold up well though x

Er... if you’re fair/blonde, beware of lash extensions/LVL. Lash extensions are only as good as the lashes supporting them. If you have fine/fair lashes, they’ll be weighed down and twist in a few days.

As for LVL, again, if you’re fair/fine, your lashes may ‘frizz’ and go crinkly on the ends. No matter how good the lash tech, they can only work with what you have.

I dye my eyebrows and eyelashes at home. I got the stuff off Amazon, it works really well and lasts a few weeks before it starts to fade. I'm not particularly good at fiddly stuff but I just wipe the dye off if I get it on my skin. It's been fine so far and I've been doing it a few years.

I use a tubing mascara so only need face wash and hot water to get mine off. No oil needed.
