When even Mitchum roll on isn't working . . .

what do you use? I have made some with coconut oil, cornflour, bicarb and essential oils which is actually really good against smells but less so against sweat.

And yes, wash with soap too

Have you tried the stick roll ons? Not the wet ones, they're like a bar of soap in a roll on container.

Do you use a flannel or similar when washing?

Do you wear a clean top every day?

NannyR · 30/06/2019 08:04

The crystal stone deodorants are the only ones that work for me. They don't stop the sweat but there is no odour at all. For some reason, normal anti perspirants don't work on me, I still sweat and smell by the end of the day.

PigeonofDoom · 30/06/2019 08:06

Driclor. Stings like hell but it completely stops the sweat for a good couple of weeks. Nothing else worked for me.

Littlemermaid1 · 30/06/2019 08:08

Try the Sure Maximum Protection ones, they are about £5 each, it's a cream that you roll on. I started using them when mitchum stopped working, have never looked back. Really helps with longevity of bras too as not sweating onto them!

Pomgirl · 30/06/2019 08:15

I use perpix once a week at night, stops sweating then a sure twisty stick roll on! They are the best!

El0die · 30/06/2019 08:19

Driclor- once every five days or so. No underarm sweat or odour. It doesn't sting at all if you use it properly- i.e. make sure underarms are completely dry before applying, and do last thing at night.
Stupid fiddly roll on you have to clip together yourself - and, personally, I think it evaporates in the bottle. Poorly designed, small, expensive but it absolutely works.

qj17 · 30/06/2019 08:22

Perspirex is amazing it truly stops you sweating.

Chartreuser · 30/06/2019 08:29

Thank you. Yes, new tops every day, use Dettol laundry cleanser to wash them, clean bras each day, new ones often, scrub pits with exfoliating gloves in the shower.

I had wondered if the driclor type ones were overkill, but clearly not.

Thank you

Use proper bar soap in the shower, then apply Mitchum gel. Its much better than the roll on

ScrambledToe · 30/06/2019 08:34

Persiprex one is amazing!! Does sting a bit, but that’s because I can’t get my armpits totally dry!

PigeonofDoom · 30/06/2019 08:42

I do all those things elodie and driclor still stings but I do have quite sensitive skin. It’s worth it for no sweat for 1-2 weeks though, and only stings/itches for one night. Dealing with sweaty pits was a nightmare before I used it. “Clean top every day?” Hmm Every hour, more like! Had to bin tops after a year because the sweat ruined them. So driclor is pricey but it’s saved me a fortune in clothes.

Chartreuser · 30/06/2019 08:44

Yes I have to buy new tops each year, vests, t shirts, long sleeved tops

Sad but glad it's not me

I find the Dove Max ones really good - they're the stick ones - usually about £5 though. Tried pespirex but oh my god the level of itching and sore pits - wasn't worth it - agony.

Skyejuly · 30/06/2019 08:55

Odaban has changed my life. No sweat at all.

ThorosOfMyr · 30/06/2019 08:55

This one.

When even Mitchum roll on isn't working . . .
SparklesandFlowers · 30/06/2019 08:56

Driclor here. Occasionally did sting but it does work!

EdWinchester · 30/06/2019 08:59

Periodically, deodorant stops working on me.

I resort to Driclor. It stings like fuck but seems to stop me sweating much for months.

Riceandthings · 30/06/2019 09:03

Mitchum stopped working for me.

I use Sure Maximum Protection, I stash a load grab it, when its on offer for £3.

I have to wear a white top at work. Manual job.

I could honestly wear it all week, it still smells very very fresh under the arms.

I dont though, I wear a clean one every day.

Before I used Sure Maximum Protection, I was pongy and could see some sweat marks on my top Envy & I shower before & after work, as my work can be grim.

Frumpypigskin · 30/06/2019 09:17

Kiehls body fuel deodorant is worth a try. It's expensive but it really works.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 30/06/2019 09:19

Get a prescription for anhydrol forte. It's awesome.

reddA · 30/06/2019 09:50

Why has mitchum stopped working though? - I have also found this after years with no problems, have they changed the formula? Very annoying

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 30/06/2019 09:56

Another sweaty pitted one here too. I've had driclor on prescription but even with completely dry pits it's stings, itches and burns. If I use it I have to take piriton and use sudocrem to stop the itching and burning and then they just look sore. I've got loads of the sure maximum stuff but it's not that great and smells far too strong-like toilet cleaner/air freshener. I might give the Dove version a try. I think since they rem

ballsdeep · 30/06/2019 09:57

Triple dry

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 30/06/2019 09:58

Removed alcohol from the ingredients that they aren't as good as they do t dry completely before you get dressed. Normal roll on ones I have to use a hairdryer on my pits to get them dry. It's ridiculous. The Nivea invisible black and white one has been quite good for odour but still very wet pits.

readitandwept · 30/06/2019 10:00

I used to use Perspirex years ago. Always worked for me.

I've never figured out why I stopped needing it! Can the pill make you prone to sweating?
