Can you recommend an oil-based cleanser?

I’ve heard that oil-based cleansers are brilliant. I’d like to find out made from natural ingredients (e.g. Neals Yard Remedies or similar), and that will moisturize my skin, not dry it.

The kheils one is really nice and also
Decleor

I'm using the body shop camomile cleansing oil and it really suits my skin.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 08/06/2019 17:09

I'm using one from MooGoo, and really like it. They are very upfront about ingredients, and even tell you what each one is for/does.

I like the body shop cleansing oil, or the balm, on the more budget friendly end. DHC cleansing oil, or the clinique take the day off cleansing balm are my favourites.

Well, other than the votary super seed one that I was given as a gift and absolutely adored, but I just cannot bring myself to spend £55 on a 100ml bottle of oil cleanser, so I will stick with the DHC!

I'm using Superfacialist Vitamin C + Brighten cleansing oil. My skin is looking great just now.

Its paraben and SLES free, which I like, and includes olive and rosehip oils, among others. I think it was £12, from Boots.

yellowsun · 08/06/2019 20:26

I like the Superfacialist one too.

Honeyplop · 08/06/2019 20:40

I also use the body shop camomile cleansing oil and balm. Check out Caroline Hiron's blog for loads of skincare recommendations. I've transformed my skin with tips from there.

Superfacialist vitamin c cleansing oil - you'll be glowing, soft and hydrated! I use it with a flannel.

XingMing · 08/06/2019 21:15

DHC cleansing oil is good. A flannel makes it super effective.

RezCowgirl · 08/06/2019 21:40

Jojoba oil.

PaneerOfEvil · 08/06/2019 21:41

The Simple one is good if you’re on a budget. Less than a fiver I think.

Marmaladegin · 08/06/2019 21:42

Cannot live without the body shop chamomile one (I have sensitive combination skin and am in my late 30s)

Moogoo is amazing. It's so underrated. In fact all of their products are fab.

Abcd3 · 09/06/2019 12:24

Wow, thanks so much everyone for these recommendations!

They have a mini (50ml?) size of the Superfacialist oil in the travel miniatures aisle at Boots.

Abcd3 · 14/06/2019 17:12

Thanks! That sounds really handy for trying it out.

The simple one is nice. And cheap.

The body shop is nice but the balm is better than the oil.

Lamentations · 14/06/2019 19:25

The Superfacialist one is in TK Maxx and Homesense all the time for a fiver and PP are correct - it's lovely.

Thequaffle · 14/06/2019 19:29

Emma Hardie is my fave

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 14/06/2019 19:48

Another vote for the superfacialist oil, I’ve went through two of them, also a big fan of the body shop camomile cleansing butter.

lhastingsmua · 14/06/2019 20:01

I use the Kiehl’s cleanser - it’s more of a make up remover though, I follow up with another cleanser after.

I think Lush Ultrabland would be perfect for you.

TheWeatherGirl1 · 14/06/2019 20:02

Another vote for Superfacialist

MairzyDoats · 14/06/2019 20:20

BTW, the Superfacialist is £8 in Boots at the moment
