That age old question... Pixie cuts (for not someone not too young or thin)

So, here I am, sat with my 12 month + hair growth just past my ears, wispy, thin, meh and DD,last year of primary and with shortish hair, announced she wants a pixie crop this week at hairdressers (she'll rock it, has the style and elfin features)

I have spent half if my life with pixie cuts, but, being camera shy I'm hardly in any pictures to refer back to when deciding what to do with my hair.

So, do pixies look ok on short ample mid 40s, or am I going to look, basically, like a bloke?

Tried Google searching this but the results were mind boggling!

I always have short hair and have a face the size of the moon
Its usually bleached but have recently let it go grey.
I cut it myself.

Oh and I'm 50

I really do, I'm like a squirrel storing nuts. I've just finished weeks of taking steroids and its definitely a full moon now 😂.
