Hade it a few months now and so far I like it. They do see to ave had a bit of a stock issue but I just wanted a couple of months and built my spending money up. Think will force myself to do that in future to save on postage.

I am so daft, I didn't realise you could rollover your spending allowance so thanks for pointing that out! I have liked the very lightweight SPF face cream (more a fluid) and the chubby stick style balms (but lost it within days doh). Following for other recommendations.

Bodicea · 21/02/2019 20:24

So far tried the starter set with super healthy skin moisturiser (which I really love. Slathering myself in it), The japan fusion cleanser ( ok but wouldn’t repurchase), and the spf (nice and light but don’t think it’s mineral only which puts me off using daily).

Also tried the vit c capsules and loving those.

Make-up wise tried a couple of the eyebrow pencils which I like but not in love with and an eye shadow palatte which is lovely,

Eek so many typos in my original post. Should say waited and built my spending money up. Yeah I think it’s great you can roll it over. I hate paying postage and can save up for bigger things.

I have also bought the naked pink lipstick which I was waiting to come in stock. My lips are so chapped at the mo I can’t try it though. Should have ordered the lip balm instead!!

Love it. But their stock issues over the last couple of months mean I have now racked up a huuuuge rollover allowance that I’ll probably never spend. Only other issue is some of their compressed powder items (like.. pressed powder ☺️.. but also eyeshadows and blushers) seem to be too ‘creamy’ or delicate or whatever to stay in their pressed forms - I’ve lost count of the number of compacts I’ve opened up to find smashed and in bits..

(PS Also they have had a very annoying habit in the past of jumping onto discussion threads on here when they’re mentioned, let’s see if they’re monitoring this one 😉)

darksideofthemooncup · 21/02/2019 20:32

I've just put in a order, quite excited to try it. Will report back

That might be quite good, they could update on the appalling stock level issues they seem to be experiencing.

XingMing · 21/02/2019 20:42

I've never had anything arrive damaged, yet. I now buy most of my skin care from them; I vary it to try out new stuff with minimum price risk, and there are some products I really love, and reorder.

Bodicea · 21/02/2019 20:43

Have they replaced the smashed ones? Not struggling to spend my allowance! But I am a bit of a skin care junkie and most of those items take your whole months spending allowance in one.

I have already upgraded my allowance to £20 a month ( then spent the lot on the moisturiser and capsules for a good mates birthday present).

I did also get a candle at Christmas for a gift for someone ( she said it smelt divine). So there are easy ways to get through your allowance. Next on my hit list is the nail polishes and maybe a different serum. I have read a lot of them are quite silicone based which I don’t like so will need to do some research.

The base and top coats are good, but I think Essie have better colours and more choice Boadicea.

suze28 · 21/02/2019 20:50

Great Everyday foundation is fab as are the eyeshadow sticks. The powder blushers are very long wearing too.

NightOwl101 · 21/02/2019 21:04

Can anyone explain how it actually works? There's different membership prices, if I join the £20 option do I then get £20 to spend at members prices and p&p on top? Thanks

honeylane · 21/02/2019 21:07

Can someone explain how it works.. is is literally £10 a month??

Zampa · 21/02/2019 21:07

The candles are fabulous and well worth the money.

I think the make up is great too. I've not got on with the skin care I've bought but I've got quite particular skin.

tattooq · 21/02/2019 21:15

I love the fruit enzyme facial, and have reordered several times. I used to have something similar but far more powerful from Herbivore but they no longer sell it in the UK. That stuff worked actual miracles, but the beauty pie stuff is the best replacement I've had, it really resurfaces your skin and clears clogged pores/reduces sebaceous filaments.

tattooq · 21/02/2019 21:16

And I second the recommendation of the candles, they are really really good for the price

XingMing · 21/02/2019 21:20

You pay a subscription for membership, and then pay the members rate for the products you want. £10 per month gets you an allowance of £100 per month, but you pay the wholesale cost of the product not the retail "value" and you can only buy up to the amount of accumulated credit at retail price. It works best if you subscribe for a few months to bank say £300, because the amount you can buy is worked out retail and charged wholesale. Then buy up to your limit in one month and one delivery to minimise P&P, and save up again. Lots of people find it difficult to follow but the products are usually good.

SwayingInTime · 21/02/2019 21:20

You get to spend ten times your memebership a month but the price that relates to is the rrp that they state. So I only have a £5 memebership so am not allowed to buy the eg retinol cream because thay has an rrp of £70+.

Bodicea · 21/02/2019 21:26

Night owl the £20 a month is just to give you access and a spending allowance. You also pay for the products and postage on top of this £20 at the members price.
So say there is a product that is £25 members price with a “retail” value of £100. You pay £25 and use up £100 of your spending allowance.

The easy way to work out the real cost of each individual product is to look at each product on the site and add the members price to the retail price with a decimal place moved once to the left. Plus postage.

They are not bargain basement prices. More like high end drugstore prices.

It's near-luxury products at French pharmacy price, effectively. Without samples to test at home before buying.

GregoryPeckingDuck · 21/02/2019 21:31

Fruitzyme five minute facial is a bargain. Makeupwise the blush and everyday foundation are good. The Uber curl mascara is good but you need to wipe most of it off with a tissue to avoid clumping which is a pain. Lumiboost spot brightening serum is also very good. The lip oil is amazing. I don’t like their concealers or primers though.

GregoryPeckingDuck · 21/02/2019 21:34

The stick issues seem to be down to rapid growth. Agree that they could handle it better.

LaurenOrdering · 21/02/2019 21:36

I particularly like the Super Eye Energy Peptide- Infusion Cream (want some more but the blooming thing is out of stock again!!!), the Super Healthy Skin Sheer Tinted Oil-Free SPF20 & the One Powder Wonder.
Beauty Pie works by giving you a set spending allowance/limit each month depending on what subscription you have e.g. £5 per month gives you £50 each month to spend, £10 monthly subscription gives you £100 spend each month & £20 monthly gives you £200 spend each month.
You have to use the original price in your spending allowance when adding up the spending limit e.g. the regular price of the eye cream I like is £60 (what a non member would pay) but I only pay £7.19 as a member. Therefore I have used £60 of my day £100 allowance & have £40 of it left. So I get the tinted moisturiser (reg price £28 but I only pay members price of £6.58). Add the £28 to my £60 already used & I've spent £88 of my £100 allowance. I don't want to buy anything else so the remaining £12 gets added to next months £100 allowance so I then have £112 to spend.

LaurenOrdering · 21/02/2019 21:37

Oops I see someone has beat me too it re explanation. That's what happens when you wander off mid writing post.

Luckingfovely · 21/02/2019 21:37

Serums and moisturisers and eye creams I find very good.

All the lip products are lovely.

Eye pencils good, mascara not good.

Foundation/powder/blusher - have found it hard to get right colour matches, and think they are fairly average.

Nomorerainplease · 21/02/2019 21:46

Oo this is timely. I’ve been a member for about 4 months and v Impressed so far. I only have the £5 mini membership which gives me £50/month.
I have the palette which is a copy of the charlotte tilbury one. The eyeliner which I adore. 2 nude lipsticks- much prefer the satin. Agree mascara a bit clumpy.
Would like to try the skincare. How do you think it compares to the ordinary?
I was going to order a sample set for foundation
