Waterproof boots you can stroke secretly under your desk

I think I could get away with skirts and dresses in my smart casual workplace.

There are a million knee boots out there but I have slim calves and wide feet. These I can lace up tightly around calves and spread my toes.
I can stroke them secretly under my desk.

Opinions?

I misread that as ‘boobs’ and was Confused!

Sorry, nothing helpful to add.... Grin

I just got a shorter version. They are so comfy. I love them. I'm not trendy though

Knee high Dr Martens? Not technically waterproof but relatively close.

Have you looked at Sorel?

hauntedsemi · 28/11/2018 07:21

Holger:-)

Thanks for the Sorel suggestion. Think they would be even clumpier on my mutant feet, however.

Can't see the link but have you tried Duo for boots? They come in shoe size AND calf widths so you get a good fit in long boots, I have massive feet and skinny legs so I need more bespoke sizing.

AnarchyKitty · 28/11/2018 07:42

I have just bought these for a similar reason Grin

I believe Timberland do some waterproof boots. Expensive but very good quality, I have a few pairs of boots from them and they’ve all lasted years and look pretty much new.

Yay, I found something helpful to add!! Smile

On their own I like the boots but have started to think what would they go with and they wouldn't suit majority of my skirts or dresses. In fact I could only pair up with my denim and cord mini skirts - and I don't generally wear those to work...

hauntedsemi · 28/11/2018 18:50

Hmmm, agree, on their own they are lovely, but struggling to identify what I could wear them with.
Duo I know of - but was hoping for cheaper option. I will brace myself and peek on their website.
The UGGs are luverly, but they look gap-y around the calf.

Have you tried the Merrell on? Because ime they come up narrow and are no good for wide feet. Timberland are wider and do a similar style but there is no side zip so you do have to do the laces every time!

giftsonthebrain · 28/11/2018 19:58

do you want fake fur, i don't understand "stroke". do you want to covet them and pat them?

hauntedsemi · 29/11/2018 07:50

Good point about the Merrell. They are a bit narrow, but I have an amazing local cobbler (that makes it sound as if I live in a medieval village) who stretches my shoes.
I tried the Timberland knee highs - too clumpy.
Giftsonthebrain - great name. I don't need fake fur. Just an added bonus.
I've tried them with casual dresses (wear these all the time out of work). They look okay, I think. Just loathe to spend 100 quid on something that's not multipurpose. Pic hopefully attached.

My new merrell are really wide. I can't usually wear their walking styles. The boots were much wider
