What would you do with eyebrows like these?

I have really sparse eyebrows. I never tweezer them. I dye them every few weeks (they need doing again) but they still look crap.
Any suggestions please?

I think you need to get your eyebrows done professionally. The feathery look doesn’t suit sparse eyebrows.

SuperstarDJ · 07/11/2018 11:16

I think you need to speak to a professional re microblading. It can look very natural nowadays rather than a tattooed line.

Dying isn’t going to do a great deal if there isn’t very much hair to dye in the first instance.

BertramKibbler · 07/11/2018 11:20

I think I’d consider micro landing too

BertramKibbler · 07/11/2018 11:20

Microblading*

Yumcha11 · 07/11/2018 11:21

Definitely look into microblading - I’ve seen some v good and natural looking results!

WeeSausage · 07/11/2018 11:27

Thanks. I've been wondering about microblading but I don't know anyone who has done it so I can't get a local recommendation.
I'm a bit nervous about getting a random stranger to basically tattoo my face.

I can recommend someone in Manchester

crumbledumptious · 07/11/2018 11:57

Castor oil is your friend and promotes amazing hair growth if you apply it daily (you could do it overnight if you're not keen during the day as it's quite greasy). Really makes a huge difference. Try it for a month or two and see how you get on you might be amazed. It's cheap as chips too :)

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 07/11/2018 12:04

Micro blading definitely. A friend at work just had it done and it looks incredible. Very natural.

If you’re in the West Midlands/Shropshire I’d be happy to recommend.

GreyHare · 07/11/2018 12:27

I had a very sparse eyebrow and one normal eyebrow, I had them micro bladed and it has made a huge difference to me to have two matching eyebrows, if you are in the south I would happily recommend my lady as she is amazing. Have before and after shot, my eyebrows had just been done hence the redness

I read something on hear about a "miracle" product that works by delaying the drop out cycle of the hair. So at any given time you have more eyebrows than you otherwise would because it delays the natural fall out that happens.

Sorry I can't remember what it was called but hopefully someone else will know or failing that a search on S&B may reveal it.

WeeSausage · 07/11/2018 12:53

Thanks Crumbled I might try that.
Grey I'll PM you that looks amazing!
Revitabrow Where? I've also been considering that.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I think I'll start with the castor oil and work my way up!

You could try castor oil OP, people swear by it for increased growth of brows & lashes. If it worked, you'd only have to get them shaped/tinted. I'm interested in Microblading for myself but the price is putting me off! I'd only let someone really good do it, and the better/more experienced people near me charge a small fortune.

InertPotato · 07/11/2018 13:50

I’d suggest micro blading too.

My Pilates instructor does it too, she looks amazing (terrifically wholesome) PM me for her details (London)

OHolyNightOwl · 07/11/2018 13:54

I am currently using Nanolash once a day on my eyelashes and 4 weeks in and there is definitively growth. It is supposed to work just as well on brows!
You have to keep applying it forever though or it goes back to normal.
Microblading looks like a great option!

WeeSausage · 07/11/2018 14:24

This is what they look like newly-dyed.

How does it look when you pencil them in or use a brow shadow?

SkinnywannabeKBH · 07/11/2018 15:06

Microblading here too. If you're in NI I can recommend somewhere.

Yumcha11 · 07/11/2018 16:09

Maybe try someone who can do a natural HD brows

GhostCurry · 07/11/2018 16:16

crumbledumptious where do you get castor oil? Even Boots never seems to have it, including online!

OP, in the short term, I would get a clear mascara and brush them upwards and outwards which will make the best of the brows you have. (I know that smoothing them in the direction of natural growth seems the best way, but it isn’t.) Then use a pen-like product like Soap and Glory Archery 2 in 1 to fill your brows in with tiny “hairs”. (Suqqu also do a pen-type product but it’s expensive).
I really prefer the pen strokes to one big solid block of colour which is what you get with a powder or pencil.

LovingLiving · 07/11/2018 16:19

I darken mine and fill in gaps with a brush and dark brown eyeshadow and find it works better than dye (only ever tried a home job) or eyebrow pencils.

cestlavielife · 07/11/2018 16:22

Microblading

Expensivie but better and easier than pencils and drawing and lasts thru swimming

ihopeyouwitchesareready · 07/11/2018 16:25

can anyone in north lanarkshire recommend a dermoblading person for me.

ihopeyouwitchesareready · 07/11/2018 16:28

microblading not dermoblading lol

crumbledumptious · 07/11/2018 16:43

Ghostcurry - just ask at your local pharmacy! Boots usually have it, maybe ask the pharmacist though - or Ebay, amazon - any chemist. It's cheap as chips!
