How can I smell nice?

In recent years I've gone off perfume. I find it smells very chemically and doesn't last very well.

I find scented body lotions don't really last on me. Perhaps I just haven't found the right one.

I don't mind body sprays but I find they can smell a bit like my high school changing rooms when everyone was blasting Impulse at their sweaty crevices.

But, I want to smell nice. I want to be one of these women who has a haze of a lovely scent around her.

So, if I don't use perfume or body spray and I haven't found a lasting body lotion, what can I use to smell nice? A friend suggested essential oils but I haven't tried that yet.

Any suggestions from you lovely ladies.

Nootie Pet Daily Spritz, 2 x 236ml - Sweet Pea & Vanilla Scented www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BLNSZAG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_N40QBb06CNAKY?tag=mumsnetforum-21

Let's say a few squirts goes a way long way.. I get told I smell amazing but don't say I use this in real life. Lol 😂

Grin My dog comes back from the groomers smelling lovely. I've always wanted to ask what they use and get some for myself but I'm worried I'll bump into someone who works there and they'll know I use dog perfume on myself Grin

I came on here to say Ila body oil too but I see someone beat me to it.

I find that when I use Aveda shampoo/conditioner, I get a lot of compliments and also when I've used Aveeno body wash and moisturiser.

There aren't many perfumes I like these days; they all seem to smell too strong and have a chemical undertone

Gogreen Ooooh, I love it when people smell freshly laundered. How do they do it?!

Yep, that's exactly what I think too. My mum's convinced its because I'm pregnant. It's really not Hmm

I think there’s a definite fashion for full on fragrances. There were a few in the 80’s and 90’s which tomthis day, make me nauseous when I get a want of them.

Dior have a new one out; Joy. I really like it. It’s in Eau de parfum form (which is part of today’s fragrance problem I think) so, one squirt is enough. I think people, men and women just overdo it, these days.

The Waitrose Heritage Collection body butters smell very strong. They fade a bit over the day but I can still smell them on me and my clothes at the end of the day. They’re really cheap too - about £3.50. www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/waitrose-orchid-honeysuckle-butter/773915-462146-462147
