Just that really. I don't think this works, does it? What would be a better alternative? Thanks Smile

As a daytime outfit I think they're fine.

Happyland8 · 15/07/2018 20:58

Yes would be for daytime. For summer holiday in Spain Smile

Maybe some shoes that are slightly more delicate , like the straps of your dress. White pumps would work too though.

restingbemusedface · 15/07/2018 20:58

Depends what for. Agreed as a casual day outfit it looks good. Not a wedding though

Charm23 · 15/07/2018 20:59

Black dots and black shoes, right?
I'd say they match

Jodie1122334 · 15/07/2018 20:59

I definitely think they match. You could pair with a black bag to help balance the outfit out.

Or if you're looking for something softer, I always enjoy browns and tans in summer.

Love the dress!

everybodylovescake · 15/07/2018 20:59

Looks good for daytime

JessicaJonesJacket · 15/07/2018 20:59

A sandal with a wedge heel might work better to balance the midi length.

aperolspritzplease · 15/07/2018 21:03

I like it for daytime.

iheartmichellemallon · 15/07/2018 21:05

Agree - daytime it's fine.

SleepFreeZone · 15/07/2018 21:34

Don’t like it sorry. Too clompy.

NigellasGuest · 15/07/2018 21:38

Looks nice! You could add a black bangle.

EmmaC78 · 15/07/2018 21:50

I think it looks fine too.

Oly5 · 15/07/2018 22:06

Nice for daytime
Too casual for a wedding

Heismyopendoor · 15/07/2018 22:08

Some nice thin strapped tan sandals would be nicer :)

Racecardriver · 15/07/2018 22:13

Shoes are too dark. I would opt for tan leather.

snowsun · 15/07/2018 22:17

Are the dots on the dress black or brown. They look brown on my phone so I'd say brown sandals.
If they are black a cream sandal would look softer. The black is quite harsh.

BrownTurkey · 15/07/2018 22:17

Nude or tan ballet pumps

flutteryleaves · 15/07/2018 22:24

the black is quite a contrast but still very good, i like the outfit.

agree with pp that a black accessories of some sort would balance it out.

personally, id wear tan leather with that dress.

EnidButton · 15/07/2018 22:44

I'm relieved most replies say they're fine or good, because I have those sandals in a couple of colours and I'd wear that outfit. I think they go well.

The shoes aren't leather, they're a soft looking suede or elastic (depending which ones they are, I can't see.) So not a heavy feeling black in real life.

Besides, I think matching delicate with delicate can look a bit bland. A slight contrast to balance both things out is a classic style tip isn't it? 'Fat and acid' as LL calls it www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/fashion/2013/may/26/lauren-laverne-rules-of-dressing Not that I think it applies here, but it would if she went with a delicate white sandal as suggested for example.

TantricTwist · 15/07/2018 22:48

Looks fine to me although actually red would look nice too.

TantricTwist · 15/07/2018 22:49

Tan is really frumpy and not chic as some people seem to think.

EnidButton · 15/07/2018 22:51

I like the suggestion of a black bag to balance it out.

EnidButton · 15/07/2018 22:52

Liking red too.
Now I want that dress. Grin

Happyland8 · 15/07/2018 22:54

The photos don't do the dress justice. It's longer at the back. Wait, I'll get a link ☺️
