Just that really. I don't think this works, does it? What would be a better alternative? Thanks Smile

I'd wear tan, I don't think it's frumpy (tan)!

I really like it. It looks effortless and you look comfortable in your own skin.

seven201 · 16/07/2018 08:49

I like it. My immediate thought (if you wanted an alternative) was dark orange sandals, or any colour really. A black bag or other accessory would balance out the black shoes though.

SinglePringle · 16/07/2018 08:59

It’s the sole of the shoes that makes it not work. It’s too ‘boat’ like and makes the whole rather ‘librarian’. The actual straps and black work.

Nakedavenger74 · 16/07/2018 09:14

I think the straps are too thick. The dress is quite delicate so needs a matching shoe. Try and match the thickness of the dress' shoulder straps.

I think they're too flat. The dress needs heels or maybe a wedge.

FiftyShadesOfDuckEggBlue · 16/07/2018 13:19

Pretty dress. The shoes are perfect for a summer day walk.

makeupmaven · 16/07/2018 19:32

I don't personally like it (I would go for a more delicate shoe), but this look is certainly very on-trend so objectively I think it looks fine. :)

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 16/07/2018 19:37

I think it looks good, and delicate sandals or pumps would make the whole outfit look dated and a bit frumpy.

I love those sandals btw, where are they from?

JMAngel1 · 16/07/2018 20:57

Gorgeous outfit.

Happyland8 · 16/07/2018 23:26

Thanks everyone. The shoes seem to have divided opinion so I'm still none the wiser 😂

Here's a link to the shoes ☺️

The shoes are incredible comfy and I've had so many compliments on them. They go with so much too. Probably my best purchase of the summer so far Smile

Shoes look too heavy with the dress.

IwankaTramp · 17/07/2018 00:04

This sort of thing instead...

Don't let our opinions sway you too much op , if you feel happy and confident in the outfit then wear it Smile
