Gorgeous dress. One more vote for what QueenofallIsee and Littlechocola said.

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2018 22:09

I would hide the tattoo. Hair up, and definitely not a black bra. It's lovely.

SuperVeggie · 11/07/2018 22:11

Lovely dress! I agree simple is the way forward. No bracelets or necklace, only earrings if you want jewellery. Hair up. The dress is the feature so you don't want anything detracting from that, including stuff like nails (just go nice and tidy, neutral colour if you want but nothing bling or obviously fake). I think this type of dress looks best without a veil, if your hair is up you could wear a beaded side clip type thing in your hair if that makes sense? Congratulations on your wedding!

SuperVeggie · 11/07/2018 22:12

Oh and yes to pp saying hide the tattoo.

bearbehind · 11/07/2018 22:20

It's a lovely dress- Art Deco accessories as others have said but you also need something to hide the 'underlayer' visible on the front facing photo which finishes at the top of your legs.

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2018 22:21

Shoes. You'll be on your feet for a long time so make sure they're comfortable. You will probably want to hitch up the skirt at some point- e.g. walking on gravel or damp grass, dancing, so they will be visible.
I would think about how you could pin up the skirt without it being a PITA.
You look stunning in it.
I suggested hiding the tattoo because it detracts. You can get budgeproof concealer, and it might look dated in your photos in a few years.

StaplesCorner · 11/07/2018 22:22

You know OP, I bet that until so many posters pointed it out, you were actually PLANNING to wear that black bra weren't you ... Hmm

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2018 22:22

Nah she was going to wear a purple one.

Furx · 11/07/2018 22:22

Either you have a stunning figure or it is incredibly flattering!

:)

StaplesCorner · 11/07/2018 22:26

Mike stoppit now you'll have people coming on saying "oh no not purple, maybe white?" Wink

Furx · 11/07/2018 22:26

The only other think is maybe (forgive me if I’m wrong here ) but I’m guessing you aren’t a natural blonde? Hard to tell as we can’t see the colours in your face.

I’d maybe go dark, give a nice contrast to the lightness of the dress. And add a more 1920s feel. Dark hair always seems more 20s than blonde somehow.

HyacinthsBucket70 · 11/07/2018 22:28

It's a lovely dress and you don't need a lot of accessories with the detail on the dress. I'd go for an art deco type tiara or birdcage veil that mirrors the detailing; no jewellery apart from earrings, and hair up. Less is more.

Dodie66 · 11/07/2018 22:28

Hair up with maybe a flower or flowers at the side. Plain earrings and comfy shoes

Ohyesiam · 11/07/2018 22:29

Fab figure op.

MrsSarahSiddons · 11/07/2018 22:29

Interested to see that we are now allowed to suggest brides hide their tattoos. Usual MN response is that we should all admire tattoos, that they are artistic, the individual's choice and no-one else's business.

Yes, cover the tattoo. The dress is really lovely and it suits your figure.

katycb · 11/07/2018 22:29

Mine was similar- Had a very similar back but a slighly more simple front. As pp said I went for the art deco look- I had 1920s style side tiara and a vintage style pearl earrings.
I did have a simple very sheer veil for the ceremony but only the sort that goes on the back not over my face..will see if I can find a picture!

ScarlettSahara · 11/07/2018 22:30

Stunning dress OP. I agree that the back is so gorgeous you dont want to detract from it with any bra on show. Is their a built in bra/ cup support at the front? If no bra in dress then yes I would chose sew in cups as suggested above.
Updo & either tiara or diamante hair decoration & pearl drop earrings would be my preference with pale ornude nails.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 11/07/2018 22:32

I think the dress style means simplicity al the way

Definitely this. Hair up - it really has to be with that detail. No jewelry apart from pearl studs maybe. I would go for messy bun type hair (a bit Meghan Markle)- nothing too 'done.' No veil, simple band tiara.

Simple simple simple.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 11/07/2018 22:33

...and you look gorgeous OP.

Enko · 11/07/2018 22:39

OP have a look at this page for art deco bridal hair accessories

Atalune · 11/07/2018 22:46

The dress says it all.

Simple stud earrings. Hair up. Understated nude make up, pink flushed cheeks glossy glossy lips.

Peonies for your bouquet.

Cantaana · 11/07/2018 22:48

Veil - Plain 72" single tier so as not to detract from that gegrous back, and it sill fall just on your bum so you'll see that grogeous curve underneath. 2 tier would opaque out the back

Hair - up, again for the gorgeous back, try a hairvine woven through, or push pins. With such detail on the gown my brides would normally shy away from a larger headpiece as to not detract from the detail - but totally up to you!

Jewellery - earrings only pearl studs sound fab - no necklace with that neckline and i promise you any bracelet will catch on the beadwork.

Shoes - as i say to all my brides, don't care what they look lik e- make sure you can stand in them all day! Highly recommend Rainbow club - available at John Lewis. They do a range called Bliss which are padded upper and lower. If you must pick some gorgeous shoes make sure you can stand in them all day - the dress will be cut to your height in shoes, so once they are on they are on or you can't move! I have previously recommended to my brides who want to splash out to buy an amazing pair for honeymoon - you can always get your photographer to picture them - no one will know any different!

Congratulations - you look amazing (and any seamstress worth her salt can pop some cups in there so no need for a bra)

Iwantaunicorn · 11/07/2018 22:48

Absolutely beautiful dress, you look fantastic!

I’d go for sparkly drop earrings, or just diamond studs, and a curled up do, something like these.

I’d wear whatever shoes make you smile 😀

gregrous = gorgeous - sorry distracted by Love Island!

Westwoodviv75 · 11/07/2018 22:49

You look fabulous - finding the right dress and one that you feel good is a great feeling. Love the va va voom you are giving it!
The seamstress can see a decent underwired nude bra in to the front of the dress and have it sewn in the sides. Don't know if it has much boning but it sits pretty well. Nude no vpl knickers - get a couple of pairs to see which shape work best in fittings.
As for the rest, look on Pinterest for some updo's you actually like and get your hairdresser to advise on which suits your hair best and try them out, you have time. I like a mid bun and a single tier veil sitting just below. Hair vines are popular as they are comfy and can be pinned in anywhere you like.
I personally see a soft waved up do and a bit of glamour! Pearl or diamond (diamante) studs and some strappy sandals that peek out when you walk. A closed toe is a bit dated.
Now I like coloured shoe or a good metallic you can wear again! (thrifty!) Although Debenhams used to do a decent bridal shoe range in ivory tones at good prices. Check hem lengths of the dress you have ordered/bought. A good bridal shop will have advised you on heel height.
Earrings - yes! A no to the rest, although a bracelet could be lovely.
Most importantly - stay true to your own style! If you feel daft in a veil, don't wear one! Want red shoes - do it!
