JUst trying to catch up. blair so exciting, not long. I can’t really remember what I wore but I remember the first time being shocked at how long you still look pregnant for afterwards. I certainly didn’t ping back into shape with any of them. If you have maternity stuff you’ll probably still wear that for a bit otherwise as others have said, primark is your friend. Also, not sure what pants you normally wear but you’ll need big ones for the gigantic maternity pads. Great news about your pelvis!

I finally have a bit of time to do nothing so I’m going to have a browse at new in stuff....

Thanks QueenC yup I went to Sainsburys for granny pants Grin I do expect to wear maternity stuff, but the only bottoms I have are jeans and leggings, which will be ok if it's not too warm but not if this 30 degree heat returns. Hopefully summer is over!

Gosh Blair your pg seems to have flown by although probably not for you! what a relief your pelvis is where it should be. Big pants are your friend Grin

I know they've already gone, but have a lovely weekend Dry & Shop

Love the AM bag Queen linked, and the sweatshirt.

I hit the high street a couple of days ago but couldn't find anything worth buying in the sales except a long bf cardigan which I stupidly didn't get at the time Hmm

Stokey I love the green midi skirt you've purchased; shame about the sandals though.

Can’t believe it’s 37 weeks already blair! I stocked up on cheap granny pants from Matalan. It was pretty warm when DD was born but I can’t remember what I wore Shock, I must have either blanked it out or didn’t wear very much Grin. Also, I know you want to breastfeed, but please be aware that it doesn’t work for everyone. I never even considered that I wouldn’t be able to do it, but for some people it isn’t this ‘most natural thing in the world’ experience but is actually very stressful and in the end you just have to know that it’s only one small part of the babies life and bottle feeding isn’t the end of the world.

Love that red Valentino dress queenc.

Have Great weekends shop and dry.

Boden autumn stuff seems to have come in already. There are a couple of dresses that look pretty useful, but it just seems wrong to be thinking about autumn / winter in July!

Shame about the shoes stokey, but agree that at price they need to be perfect.

So excited for you, I get nostalgic over newborns and dd is only 6 months! Really pleased everything’s ok and aligned too

Love it shop - even a 6L bottle wouldn't go far at a MU though Grin

Marsha I am still at work, enjoying the aircon for a few more days, thinking Wednesday to finish. Being at home for the weekend was unbearable in the heat so potentially 4 more weeks doesn't bear thinking about :(

Everyone yeah I'm hoping I can, but won't beat myself up if I can't. It would be annoying to have to rush out and buy bottles and stuff straight away though. Oh well, I'd just send DH

Fedup nope it's flown by for me too Grin

I think I said that baby had gone back to back? Well he turned round to the side on Saturday night (I don't think he will turn fully as I have an anterior placenta) which is great, except now I HAVE to sleep on my left so that he doesn't move back, and there's nothing worse than knowing you'd be comfy in bed if you could just turn over but you can't. Hmm

I don’t blame you Blair it is so sticky today
And yes I dreamt of lying on my back or tummy after being pg

Shop love that your pics show such a good weekend (and not like my girls trip will be with dd in retropect 😂)

Does anyone know if NaP usually do a further 10 / 20% discount on the sale?

Nice Shop

I need some inspiration. It’s my birthday this weekend what should I get for a present??

What make of watch could I do - I like simple design Patek Phillipe would be my ultimate but they are silly ££ aren’t they? Way more than eg Cartier or am I looking in the wrong places

A Vilshenko dress

Can’t think of anything!

Just got my haircut with dd near me. Not easy!

Marsha YY to a Velshenko dress - they are lush - love this one

Patek Phillipe watches are stunning but yes absolutely silly £££. And well done on the haircut - stressful but worth it I hope.

Shop sounds like you had a fabulous time.

I've had a rough few days - reality of tough job and new environment really sinking in. Annual leave allowances are absolutely rubbish here so I am feeling condemned to working without a break for quite a while to build up enough AL for a trip home - and it's winter. And it's my birthday this weekend too but am sandwiched by long work trips either side so hard to enjoy it. And my FB feed is full of Shop dancing and Dry partying and lucky sods I know over here on hols in Thailand and Bali - basically I'm resentful and sulky (and breath)

Has anyone tried on that Whistles leopard print sweater QueenC linked above for Kitty? I am sooo tempted - wondering if its worth the risk of ordering (bearing in mind that returns from here to UK are such a PITA as to not be worth the effort???).

Marsha for a cheap watch fix take a look at Henry London. I have one with a green strap, white face and rose gold setting which I got in TK Maxx for £50 and I absolutely love it and get comments on it all the time - nice and plain but solid looking and looks more expensive than it is.

Ooh Marsha a big birthday? I would get a watch over a dress any day! I'm not a multiple watches person (DH is the watch buff) but the watch I got for my last big birthday is my favourite thing I own. I think you're right about PP but there's always pre owned? Do you like leather or metal straps?

lib Flowers Wine sounds like you're still settling, totally understandable (and we are all jealous of shop and dry partying!). Hope you can try and find a way to make your birthday special. How's things coming along with house plans?

MarshaBradyo · 17/07/2018 12:13

No not a big one but I’m lost without a watch now mine is broken. I’ll have a look around for PP pre-owned but I think they get called vintage no matter what and still ££

I loved my old one Junghans for its simplicity but I don’t just want the same. I feel like you get to an age where you go for a classic that you’ll keep

Thanks Lib I don’t mind spending a bit, will check out that site am mid walk home doing a mist need bf

Ah it’s so hard when you’re accumulating AL, so hard. Do you have to do the time to use it? That sucks

Haircut was annoying, dd was ace and it was ‘baby day’ so assistant held her but it seems no one believes me when I say do not massage when you shampoo, be as fast as you can, I can hardly bear it these days sooo irritating, plus the guy had to use the hairdryer even though I said don’t worry. All for £60 in local place grump. At least it’s done

Blair top tip get your hair done at last minute!

Can you not get the watch repaired and buy the dress Marsha? Best of both worlds.
Lib sounds tough sorry for posting so many pics! It was so fab though - can’t stop smiling.

Marsha Grin hair cut is booked for Thursday, and pedicure Saturday! DH was perplexed as he painted my toes about 2 weeks ago and why do I need a pedicure now as they're fine? Hmm that's annoying about the massage and hairdryer, but at least dd was good, baby day sounds handy!

I thought you would say leather strap. Which is the PP you like - I can see you wearing one of these i think. What about IWC or Blancpain? (had a really quick look at watches of switzerland site!) Also where is mara, she knows her watches.

Shop so glad you had a fab time and that the shorts were a winner!

Yes they’re the ones I love Blair, would make me happy less so dh seeing that £. Would have to be vintage as they say

Dd did get scared of the hairdryer. Guy hairdresser obviously loathes baby days given some of his comments. Annoying all round. Back to Aveda next time for sure.

Shop I think it’s about £400 to fix, or maybe more through the place we bought it. Maybe less elsewhere. The cost annoys me and doesn’t feel birthday ish enough but maybe I should look more into prices anyway

Bonjour tout le monde.
Amazing long weekend.

Observations:
I danced in 4”stilettos until 3.45am when I put Gigis on....I’m hard core after all Grin

Red stilletoes cause a stir.
It feels fab when someone who actually works for the manufacturer of your dress notices and compliments.

Even an incredibly chic, tanned French lady wearing a caramel boiler suit with wooden soled platform sandals and circle basket shoulder bag still looks like she’s about to change the carburettor.

I didn’t take enough clothes......could have done with another dress.

Brits in polyester maxi dresses melt in hot temperatures Grin

Right. I am pretty much back in the land of the living having come back down with a bang after DF had a fall today.

Things I have learnt from my trip away with 14 girls to Majorca (I only knew 3 of them)

  1. Your gut is correct in thinking the one drinking pints at 6am in the airport is likely to end up nearlygetting you arrested
  2. Otherwise sensible women become the world’s worst behaved after 3 hours sleep and starting to drink bottomless champagne from 11am the next day
  3. NO men NOT ONE chatted me up! Apparently I give off an unapproachable vibe which was good to know given the number of absolute bell ends in palma
  4. wearing a polyester top and shorts will turn you into a sweaty mess but the ZARA shorts were so fab I wore them twice (thanks again Blair)
  5. The red Chanel lipstick that Dry gave me suited EVERYONE
  6. if you drink enough gin and champagne in hot weather your feet will swell up as badly as when you were last pregnant
  7. I seriously need to up my underwear game - nude pants and bras don’t cut it
  8. Red tassel earrings suit me
  9. The winner of the German Batchelor is very fit
  10. the guy who was celebrating getting off in court for defrauding Oakland Furniture has some very interesting tattoos
  11. money can’t buy you style
  12. I never want to see a packet of Lays crisps again
