only if it really suits them - if it does they can wera it forever

(probably not hot pink lycra though)

I look shite in pink despite my youthfulness

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 24/05/2007 18:31

I'm over 35 and I wear pink.. is that wrong?

I dont wear bright fuschia pink, just subtle pale ones usually or maybe a dusky one.. I had no idea I was being mutton

heifer · 24/05/2007 18:34

Personally think pink over the age of 10 is WRONG...

If you think over 35 is ok, what age do you think is wrong (I am thinking of Barbara Cartland)...

foxinsocks · 24/05/2007 18:43

I wear pink too

so does dh come to think of it

Wolfgirl · 24/05/2007 18:44

Im 44 and ALWAYS wear pink, it so my colour! Love it to bits (baby pink, not raspbery or dark pinks); I dont think the question should be about colour, more about style; there are styles for teens, then 20-30 (and poss early 40's), then...etc

Equally though, its how you feel; if you like the 'younger' style look, and its suit you, then why not - eh? live and let live I say xx

foxinsocks · 24/05/2007 19:03

in fact, I don't think I started wearing pink till I was about 30ish. Before then, I was too into black .

I'm 43 and wear pink occasionally.

Suits my skin colour.

Mercy · 24/05/2007 19:06

DP has a bright pink linen shirt I bought him and he looks really rather fabulous it. And I don't say that about him often.

(He has the same dark skin as I suspect you have, Mercy.)

motherinferior · 24/05/2007 19:07

Whereas I personally have abandoned the fuschia to which I used to be partial, on account of having red hair.

foxinsocks · 24/05/2007 19:09

pink looks lovely on dark skinned men

dh has olive skin and it really suits him

'pink is for poor people' Blimey.

MI, I'm actually very, very light brown-skinned but with really dark brown hair and eyes. Still suits me though!

Yellow is def not my colour.

fizzbuzz · 24/05/2007 20:09

I love pink, and a sort of rose pink is my best colour. Wearing it makes me look me much younger as it flatters my skin tone better than any other colour.

Any neutral, dark or "sophisticated" colours make me look ill.

So....I may be now thought of as trailer trash...buuut don't give a ***!

WideWebWitch · 24/05/2007 20:09

Depends on the over 35 and the type of pink. Hot pink hotpants for eg, then no.

inamuckingfuddle · 24/05/2007 20:16

complete rubbish, def depends on colouring - my mum wore pink to my brother's wedding recently, she's 65 and looked great

Bouquetsofdynomite · 24/05/2007 20:20

Trinny & Susanna say pink worn with black is tarty. I can see where they're coming from but I still do it eg pink vest top under long black skirt and black cardi.

fishie · 24/05/2007 20:20

pink suits me but i don't wear large amounts of it or look a bit piggy.

Desiderata · 24/05/2007 20:25

Hmmmm, depends on the shade. I wear a very, very light pink occasionally, but I've never gone for loud (with the exception of my gob).

Otter · 24/05/2007 20:30

i saw a 60-70 year old with snappy pink handbag and pink shoes

very pricey looking and lovely but just not right
