My teeth ARE ACTUALLY WHITER

Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 07:54

I've bee on a quest for whiter teeth for ages now. My teeth have prone to staining since I was a teen and I love tea and red wine....

Last night I used the iWhite 2 pre filled trays from Boots. Woke up this morning and my teeth are actually, properly whiter!! And I can use them for four more days to get even more whiteness!

I'm so excited. My yellow teeth have been making me soooo self conscious of late. Only £20!

I've also bought the mouth wash so will be using that daily.

How long do they stay white for? (This also sounds a bit like an ad but unless you’re mr boots I’ll trust youWink)

FullLaundryBasket · 16/06/2018 08:06

Interested to know how long it lasts too. Come back and tell us what they look like after a month.

Oh also, did it hurt? Do they feel more sensitive?

vivasunshine · 16/06/2018 08:08

Wow that's great!! I've been looking for something that actually works for ages. Is this the one you used?

vivasunshine · 16/06/2018 08:10

Trying to attach an image Hmm

londonloves · 16/06/2018 08:11

Did you have to not have coffee etc for days afterwards...?

Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 08:13

Not an ad I promise,I'm just excited to have found something that works. Even if it's temporary at least it works for events etc. (I might drag myself on a date this week..)

I'm also using blank is the new whites charcoal toothpaste which has had a minor effect.

Didn't hurt at all. Took 20 mins. Will be repeating tonight

DropZoneOne · 16/06/2018 08:15

I've tried those too. Didn't notice any difference even after 5 days.

Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 08:17

@vivasunshine - this one www.beautybay.com/accessories/iwhite/instantprofessionalteethwhiteningkit2/?ctyid=gb&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4brrvtHX2wIVVofVCh1BMg7VEAQYASABEgIeHvD_BwE

@londonloves it does say to avoid staining stuff during 5 day treatment. Lists coffee, red wine and lemonade. Ok for me as I drink tea which isn't too bad and it's not red wine time of year.

OP posts:
Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 08:18

That's disappointing @DropZoneOne . My teeth have always been pretty yellow so maybe easier for me to see a difference compared to someone whose teeth aren't too bad

I've been using crest whitening strips that I got off eBay so potentially not kosher but haven't seen any results. I am a tea and red wine drinker as well! I have an event to go to tonight - may well pop to boots this arvo if the treatment only takes 20 minutes. I think I can avoid red wine this evening GinGrin

Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 09:19

Yeah I was scared to try the non kosher crest strips!!

EnidButton · 16/06/2018 14:47

The (USA) crest strips work but holy crap my teeth were sensitive. I used them before a wedding and had to stop a week before as I wouldn't have been able to eat the fancy food.

I've had trays and gel from the dentist that was pretty good but again made my gums and teeth hurt.

Tempted by this but the sensitivity is a concern. Do you think they'd be ok if used every other night? With it being pre-filled I mean, might lose effectiveness once opened.

retainertrainer · 16/06/2018 20:36

Can I point you all in the direction of pola day or pola night. I paid £££ to have my teeth whitened after orthodontic treatment and this is what he gave me. I just followed the instructions at home. You can buy it online for a fraction of the cost. It worked really well, no sensitivity and 4 years later my teeth are still lovely and white.

happyjack12 · 16/06/2018 20:54

retainertrainer any links to this product please?

EnidButton · 16/06/2018 21:02

Thanks Retainer.

retainertrainer · 16/06/2018 21:27

www.ukhealthcart.co.uk/products/pola-day-9-5-teeth-whitening-bleaching-gel-4-pack

Here you go. You do need the teeth moulds to put the gel in (my orthodontist made mine for me) I bet there’s a company somewhere online that does that though.

The gels are exactly what I used and I paid around £300. You only need to use the tiniest amount on the front of each tooth mould and wipe off any excess that might come into contact with your gums. I’m taking the size of this ‘o’. Just a small dot.

Grobagsforever · 16/06/2018 22:19

@EnidButton they are disposable sealed trays so no issue with product life. No sensitivity at all so far

HouseOfLynx · 17/06/2018 01:24

My daughter's thinking of a career in PR. Would you recommend not or do you find it souless?

Hmm
Grobagsforever · 17/06/2018 20:42

@HouseOfLynx - search my name. I'm real..I've posted here for years. I was just happy to have found a product that works as I really hate my yellow teeth..

dudsville · 17/06/2018 21:44

Ooh I love a little boost, I'll look this up thanks op!

userxx · 17/06/2018 21:58

@Grobagsforever She's genuine. I've seen her in the relationship forum loads of times.

IJustLostTheGame · 18/06/2018 09:42

I've used poladay too.
I didn't need the full course as I didn't want 'love island white teeth'
I needed to use sensodyne toothpaste but the sensitivity stopped after I stopped using it.

bzzbeebzz · 18/06/2018 11:02

I already have trays that my dentist made for me ages/years ago but I stopped using them when I ran out of the gels, after just one cycle.
Sounds like the Poladay would work with these trays? Any drawbacks?

paceyswife · 18/06/2018 11:14

I've actually got some trays but no no gel, do you need to use the gel daily or is it a once every few months thing to get a visible affect?
