Accessorize is different to claire’s Accessories - you know that right?

teddybearsbear · 13/06/2018 22:51

Sorry I crossed posted

Yes silver shoes and bag definitely and I would say a delicate silver necklace to pull it together nothing too bold as the shoes and bag will do enough

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:53

Erm I think so - is one OK and the other not?
Need to try the silver shoes on.
Can I wear a jacket? Or should I just take a PowerPoint and have done with it

How old are you OP?

I personally find the flowery accessorise necklaces twee and very unstylish. What about something like this Thomas Sabo circle necklace (£39).

I wouldn't bother with a matching silver bag, I don't think people match their bags and shoes anymore do they?

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:55

That's really nice but more than the dress cost!.
I am in my late early thirties. And I don't tend to go for fancy or flowery stiff

I'd keep the dress simple and do something special with your hair and go for a bold lip colour:

teddybearsbear · 13/06/2018 22:56

I wouldn’t wear a jacket and keep the bag small to avoid it looking too daytime

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:56

I doneed somesort of bag. Would a plain black one do?

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:57

Excellent advice you two thanks. Yes, I should probably wear make up!

That dress won’t look out of place outside of work. Some heels & an Clutch in bright or metallic colours. Then necklace, earrings, rings and lots of bangles or charm bracelet. Make up-a smoky eye, Matt lip and good hair. Grin

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:58

Yeah. A smoky eye, a matt lip and good hair will challenge me.

bookbuddy · 13/06/2018 22:58

Try and wear a bag in a different colour to the dress.

BlondeSea · 13/06/2018 22:59

Just do good hair and make up, plain bag is fine, your best shoes and a simple classic necklace that you like.

Just because it's a hen do you don't have to dress in a lary way.

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 22:59

I can do an eye bag, a chapped lip and frizzy hair?

bookbuddy · 13/06/2018 22:59

You tube is your friend for easy tutorials.

Agree with this. No point spending loads on stuff you won’t wear again.

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 23:00

I don't want to dress lairily but as I say it's a dress I wear for work. I want to look like m there to have fun not subject her to death by PowerPoint

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 23:00

I will get practicing! I'd love to be able to do good eye make up

Can you pop to a make up counter before going out and ask them to do your make up if your aren't comfortable, you might have to buy something to a certain value but you can always buy the lipstick they use to reapply throughout the evening. I would do as pps have suggested and go with bright shoes and simple silver bangles/necklace. Are you having hair up or down? Hair up may look officey depending on how you style it

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2018 23:04

Sneaky but I like it!!
Erm... Hair down I think

Honestly I think that dress is a classic look and I would wear it out out. I’d probably go for nude heels, metallic pale gold/ silver clutch (quite big) and add lots of jewellery and metallic smoky eyes. I hope you have a great time op.
