What does everybody wear to sleep in

So I love pj's. As soon as my day is done and I'm ready to chill out come the lounge wear / pj's! I also love sleeping in them but I always wake up in the middle of the night too hot. I've tried the knickers and t shirt combo but I feel knickers on all night might not be good for the lady bits! Can't sleep naked, I've tried and end up dressing myself in the bed sheets!

So, what do people wear to bed? I need ideas?

Tia

Depends on the weather. In winter I wear a long sleeved knee length nightgown from White Company. The fabric is soft and cuddly. In summer I wear a short sleeved above the knee nightgown. I like to lounge in pjs too, but I don’t like wearing trousers in bed.

GreyHare · 06/06/2018 18:25

Vest and pants, if you are worried about your ladies bits wear cotton ones.

Oddcat · 06/06/2018 18:28

I put pj's on after my shower in the evening but take them off to get into bed - bloody menopause, if I could take my skin off to cool down , I would !

hungryhippie · 06/06/2018 18:29

t shirt and knickers when its warm. I put on leggings when its cold.

Gah81 · 06/06/2018 18:30

A man's shirt, no knickers. Or naked if it's really hot.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 06/06/2018 18:41

Pj bottoms and t shirt in colder weather, and shorts or knickers and a t shirt in summer. I hate vest tops as I always wake up with them all twisted. If it is really hot I wear them with knickers though.

I love primark pj bottoms and also have a couple of long sleeve but knee length nighties which I like in winter, from m and s.

Doilooklikeatourist · 06/06/2018 18:43

A nightie
I don’t like sleeping in trousers , so can’t bear PJs

happymummy12345 · 06/06/2018 18:47

Nothing at all, regardless of time of the year. I can't stand sleeping in anything.
I'll wear a pair of old knickers if my withdrawal bleed is a bit heavy, but even then I usually just wear a tampon if I can.

yaffingale · 06/06/2018 19:04

Nothing, or at the most my OH boxers. They are nice and baggy Smile

wendywoopywoo222 · 06/06/2018 19:04

I sleep in nothing all year. But often spend my evenings in pyjamas.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 06/06/2018 19:08

Another nightwear thread...hmmm

Deandre · 06/06/2018 19:19

I wear nothing all year round, the OH too, I just don’t understand how people can go to bed in clothes...

Greenteandchives · 06/06/2018 19:24

I wear silk chemises. They have to be silk. Lace is optional. It is hard to get hold of these now, but I don’t like artificial fabrics or t shirty type stuff in bed. My DH orders them from China now and I get one every Christmas.
I couldn’t contemplate wearing pjs, but that’s all there seems to be in shops these days.

heartbrokenhettie · 06/06/2018 20:46

I can't bear not having something on my bottom half, that's why I've never bothered with nighties. Equal I'm to scared to sleep naked, what if there's a fire or an intruder?!

I think I might be going wrong with the knickers, my are normally silkie / stretchy type! I need to invest in some 100% cotton pants for bed. I like the idea of partners boxers also, but airier than knickers. Thanks

Strappy chemise in summer, pj's in winter. Usually with cotton knicks.

bananafish81 · 06/06/2018 21:22

Winter - cotton boy short knickers under PJ bottoms and long sleeved top

Summer - t shirt with knicker shorts

I have a stack of uniqlo boxer briefs, oversized Supima short and long sleeved cotton t shirts, and cotton 'lounge pants' (aka PJ bottoms) for bedtime

Clean top and knickers every night. Clean PJ bottoms every other night

Can't bear sleeping naked. Never had thrush or BV, my vag doesn't have lungs so has no need of 'breathing'.

2good · 06/06/2018 21:24

I'm like you- I have to have something on my bottom half. ..so I wear cotton pj shorts (maternity ones at the moment), but nothing on the top half- too hot at the moment and I'm overdue so everything's uncomfortable

TheMasterNotMargarita · 06/06/2018 21:25

Nowt.
Change into pjs/loungewear as soon as I come home.
Off for bed, except when I have a period, then I wear pants. I hate being tangled up in jammies and sheets.

Justmuddlingalong · 06/06/2018 21:26

Sloggy knickers.

bananafish81 · 06/06/2018 21:28

I don't understand how people go to bed naked. We're all different.

In winter I'm wearing my knickers, PJ bottoms and long sleeved top, socks, wool / cashmere jumper and a 13.5 tog duvet. I'd be completely freezing if I slept naked, esp getting up in the night for a pee

Can't bear sleeping naked though even in summer. Have to sleep in pants - I don't even like wearing knickers without a pantliner!

DH sleeps in a t-shirt and boxers all year round - with PJ bottoms in the winter as well

tracymars · 06/06/2018 21:41

Long sleeve, short sleeve. Hot or cold I always try to wear 100% cotton. Sainsburys do some cotton vests for £3. I buy a few of these for summer pj wear.

tracymars · 06/06/2018 21:47

I also buy 100% cotton duvet sets. Anything I can do to minimise waking up sweaty

trinity0097 · 06/06/2018 21:48

In winter leggings and a fleece hoodie type thing with a vest under, if i’m Feeling especially lazy I may just keep my tights on from the day!

In the spring/autumn Capri pyjamas with a t-shirt or vest top

In the summer knickers and a vest

Knickers is a given, with a party liner, 24hrs a day 365 days a year! Unless by the pool on holiday or in the shower!

fredabear · 06/06/2018 21:50

Ball gown

Oly5 · 06/06/2018 21:52

Wear lounge wear and pjs round the house.. but always sleep naked
