Massive tits have found me in my mid-40s and I haven't got a fucking clue what to.do with them!

As the title says, I never ever had tits, then I did, after kids they went up to a D, the rest of my body remained unchanged,it was ok (ish), I have never worn a bra, they were fine, but they've grown again (peri or summat? Don't know), and now they're an E/F they are bloody huge and all my clothes just fall down from them.

A) Should I get a bra at the age of 44? I've never worn one before but they are now like massive bullets projecting out from my chest.

B) What the fuck do I wear? All my clothes look weird as they're all tailored to a fairly flat-chested triangle. I do look as though I'm thrusting missiles in everyone's face atm...

Help!!

They're not saggy either. They wang straight out which makes them look bigger I think.

(I did ask my husband, but he just got a dreamy look on his face. So that was fucking useless).

Congratulations on your new found breasticles!

(Or commiserations if you're not too happy!)

I'd say yes, maybe it is time to get a bra, if only to save your back. But I'd definitely recommend getting a proper fitting. Bravissimo are apparently very good.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 10:23

Cheers!

They don't hurt or feel unwieldly, they do just stick straight out, so a bra would be for the consideration of others I guess.

I've always been a bit militantly anti-bra, but was my previous militancy due to my lack of need?

I don't actually need one in terms of support.

But they're bloody huge, so my question is entirely sartorial.

Get yourself properly fitted. If you've never worn one you're probably guessing too big. I'd recommend John Lewis, Bravissimo and surprisingly, Boux Aveue. Definitely don't go to M&S.

Clothes wise, I can't wear any tight buttoned shirts without them pulling across the bust, so say goodbye to them. Anything too low cut at the front I either pin higher up or wear a cami or nude vest. I gave up on halter necks and backless a long time ago. If I can't get a bra on under it, I don't buy it.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 10:30

Yes! All my faithful shirts are gonners.

breasticles - tee hee (sorry, the word makes me laugh)

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 10:31

My measurements are based upon the eternal threads on MN!

I was a bit older than you but I went from A cup to F cup. At least you've noticed - I needed a (very good) friend to point it out to me Blush

I agree with everyone that being fitted for a decent bra is the starting point. I went to Bravissimo and couldn't stop laughing when she started bringing them in to try - they looked huge. But it was a revelation and I walked out with my shoulders back and feeling ten feet taller. All my clothes instantly hung better.

I then had to learn what suited me all over again and that took a long time. I'm still learning.

rememberthetime · 25/05/2018 10:43

I have gone from an A to a C which has also been a revelation. However, be warned. I didn't wear a bra either for a few months and suddenly they went all saggy. The extra weight, combined with no bra just pulls them down. never had saggy boobs before and now I finally have something to show off - I don't want to :)

Don’t go to M&S
Don’t go to M&S
Don’t go to M&S

Cannot say it enough!

Are you anywhere near a Rigby and Peller? They are excellent at dressing you in the style you want, in out, minimised, maximised!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 10:45

Thanks Flos.

I do have good posture (I think).

I'm going to Rigby and Peller I think.

They seem to be the experts.

They are huge and I'm not used to it.

I NEVER HAD TITS.

I'm not going to M&S Fair, but I am in London next week.

R&P it is.

I am a 10-12 and E cup....

So, personally day to day I like a stretchy sports bra/ top style thing. For outfits I still like non underwired. I need a bra to run or be as active as I like. It hurts otherwise to jump or run well.

Chuck out high round neck or it’s matronly, give up unshaped tips or you look like a barrel top. Layers work well. If you find a shirt that fit buy it! Crew necks can work well.

faringdonmum · 25/05/2018 11:00

Go to the Hans Rd one if you can. They’re all good but the girls there are lovely.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 11:04

I'm on it Fair, thanks.

And to everyone else.

Middle age is a fucker.

I've gone from ingenue to matron very quickly...

The worse part for me was before I twigged what had happened, when all I knew was that my clothes didn't look right any more. Once I'd cottoned on, and realised I'd also acquired a waist, I quite enjoyed trying out all these things I'd always steered away from before e.g. tube skirts and deep V necks. I went quite va-va voom for a while, purely because I could.

I've moved on again now - got a bit bored after a while - but it was fun. And if yours are a good shape you've got a head start - mine went straight to saggy.

Alicatz66 · 25/05/2018 11:35

I've always been a 30f
Can't agree more with the others about M&S , they are rubbish fitters .
Bravissimo all the way !!!
Boux Avenue for bikinis as they are less frumpy, more affordable but you may have to go up a back size
Enjoy your new boobies !! Xx

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 12:04

Ahh Flos I still haven't got a bloody waist!

Love handles yey, but still no waist, just my perennialy massively wide shoulders, huge tits, and then straight down. Great legs though and tall.

I am going to end up one of those horrid apple shapes I always dreaded.

Bollox.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 25/05/2018 12:05

Alicat I'm NEVER wearing a bikini.

One piece all the way!!
