Tell me what "wonder" products you've been disappointed with...

I bought some Elizabeth Earle Cleanse and Polish recently. It was okay I guess but I was expecting so much more given the hype.

I had some de Mamiel Rosey lip balm for Christmas after my friend read about it being the best on the market somewhere. I don't find it any better than my Nivea stick which I picked up from the £1 shop. In fact, if I wear de Mamiel overnight, I wake up with really dry lips in the morning.

I can't get into Aussie shampoo either. I find it incredibly drying.

So, what wonder products have you bought that you've been underwhelmed by?

Charlotte tilbury. Anything really. But especially the cleanser, night cream and eye cream. Horrendously claggy.

Boots curling cream

Maybelline mascara

Elasticizer

I find that dry shampoo actually makes my hair white or doesn't do anything and makes it greasier.

EL advanced night repair did nothing for me, nada.

I’m still looking for a good serum.

Zelens eye cream - eye wateringly expensive & left me with a burning sensation and watery eyes, ironically

Kate Somerville products gave me spots

Bobbi Brown brightening finishing powder made me look ghostly

Nip + Fab dragons blood serum didn't seem to do much

M&S formula night cream certainly didn't make me look like I'd had 8 hours sleep

Jo Malone perfumes last about 10 minutes

The Ordinary Retinol in Squalane. Another ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ product, with no visible results despite all the PR-driven hype.

I love my ordinary azelaic acid, it's definitely improved my skin, noticeably so.

Meh products:

Liz Earle cleanser
Touche éclat
All benefit stuff
Chanel nail varnish
Dry shampoo. Just makes my hair feel overloaded and grim.

The three products I tried from the Ordinary. No idea what all the hype was about, did nothing for me.
Benefit 'They're real' mascara. Was clumpy and just looked horrible.
Pixi Glow tonic. Urgh. Worst buy ever. Went down the sink :(
Zelens moisturiser from Caroline Hirons Cult Beauty box. Used it up as it's horrendously expensive, but was very relieved when it was finished.
Alpha H glycolic acid that everyone raves about. Gave me a rash, rotten.

Aussie shampoo and conditioner. Rubbish.

Touche eclat like everyone else.

Bodyshop Rainforest - hair like straw.
